  1. Note on Jaime Ffrench OnTexasFootball doesn't agree with the reports that it's Miami or LSU for Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin WR Jaime Ffrench. OTF does believe that it's currently Texas vs. Miami. We have wondered which team would end up being the competition for Texas, who continues to have confidence, and that is the Hurricanes based on a call earlier this morning. Tennessee and LSU round out the four in contention. Ffrench remains scheduled to announce August 30, his mothers birthday.
  2. Just haven't heard about a push there from Texas
  3. On Arch ... at least a two year starter. Potentially three, agree. The history of the Manning family is telling. Now, if Texas is a playoff team each of his two seasons, Arch will have the ability to start 25 games+ in two years. That wasn't possible for Peyton or Eli after two years. 25 starts is a water mark type of number for the intelligent QB families. Bell has the time frame on his side IMO. Trey Owens: 2024-25 redshirt 2025-26 No. 2 2026-27 No. 2 2027-28 likely starter (if he stays) KJ Lacey: 2025-26 redshirt 2026-27 No. 3 2027-28 No. 2 (if he stays assuming Owens gets the nod) Dia Bell: 2026-27 redshirt 2027-28 No. 3 2028-29 starter
  4. He's in a good spot with the Rockets too. He's trending in the correct direction ... just has to be patient.
  5. The future NBA head coach is coaching South Sudan in the Olympics, and they won their first ever Olympic game today. https://www.espn.com/olympics/story/_/id/40662041/south-sudan-stuns-puerto-rico-first-ever-olympic-hoops-win
  6. Yeah, don't see Texas pushing for Greer (look at 2026 at wing). It's a clear top 3: Kingston Flemings, Koa Peat and John Clark. Texas loves Shelton Henderson, but that is Duke over UH expected.
  7. I’m not concerned at this point. Texas loves Brandon Baker. Goosby and Chatman - one will be a starter. Now the 2026 class, will have to have a pair of strong tackles.
  8. OnTexasFootball expects 2025 DL JJ Hanne (Berlin, Germany/Rancho Santa Margarita) to commit to Georgia sooner rather than later - barring a major change. Georgia has been considered the favorite since offering in early June. Hanne has an OV scheduled to Georgia September 7-9 and Texas September 28-29. OTF doesn’t believe he will make the OV to Texas if he commits UGA soon.
  9. Texas and Georgia battling this one out with Texas having held the momentum since June.
  10. OnTexasFootball 4-star+ OL Nick Brooks will not be attending John F. Kennedy High on Cedar Rapids, Ia. as a senior. OTF has learned that the 6-7, 355 pounder will be attending high school in the Atlanta area as a senior. He attended a private school in Alpharetta, Ga. as a sophomore prior to his family moving back to the Cedar Rapids area.
  11. Maybe not even want to go to, but just continue to keep the recruitment open. I think it happens in general these days ... not a singular program!
  12. Same thing was once said about this NFL DT ... I hear everyone on Coleman's recruitment, but there is also the point of Alabama and Auburn battling that hard over him too! https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/4039052/jordan-elliott
  13. Yes. They are still in contact or trying with Lacey
  14. That's pretty funny! Well done
  15. The Hanne OV date is September 28-29
  16. OnTexasFootball has been told that the visit for Hanne is going very well. Hanne has set up an official visit date. We are waiting for the exact date, likely in September.
  17. He's coming along and playing more at Ohio State ... just has to develop and be patient behind NFL draft picks https://ohiostatebuckeyes.com/sports/football/roster/kanuhero/11012

  19. Four-star Josiah Sharma flips to Texas
  20. Galveston (Texas) Ball 4-star+ safety Jonah Williams and parents visited Texas today. Williams spent a lot of time with Steve Sarkisian, Blake Gideon and the defensive staff. Of course, baseball is part of the equation with the Williams recruitment. Williams, 6-3 and 205 pounds, was not able to meet with the Jim Schlossnagle or the staff in person today as the staff is out of town. He did have a FaceTime call with Schloss and staff members today. Williams will head to LSU tomorrow ahead of an August 14 decision. Texas put their best foot forward, and believes they are in contention. Where Texas truly sits, they don’t yet have a feel for inside the facility.
  21. For me, unless he makes an academic 1,2 & 3rd type decision … LSU will be tough. Frank Wilson and Bo Davis on that one at St. Augustine High. He could commit somewhere else early, and I would still maintain that unless his decision is predominately academic based
  22. Apparently Vernon Broughton’s punch in drills is very impressive Jaray Bledsoe’s first step consistency has improved
  23. Checked in at 6-3.25 and 244 pounds today on the visit
