    Above average, yes in my adult lifetime. Texas is an above average program historically, and since 2000. A top 25 level program. But truly doing what it takes to take the next step over time? No. What I would label as content, yes.

    Texas women's basketball is top tier program in their college sport. A history of elite winning. An NC, 4 Final Four's, 13 Elite 8's, etc... I think Texas womens NIL advantage is real - in terms of where they sit. But maybe a little overblown too. The whole deal with women's college hoops IMO is ... there isn't depth of talent in the women's game. There is a substantial drop off between you top tier and second tier, and a huge drop off after that. If a tier 1/blue blood hires a high end coach in the women's game, they can be very elite or dominant because of the lack of depth of talent. Texas has done that with Vic. Texas men aren't even close to that. Near zero history of winning on an elite level. Never played for an NC. One FF since 1947, etc... Not near a tier 1 or blue blood. Not a destination school in their sport. etc

    But that Texas team wasn't close to a normal blue blood roster. Beard is legitimate great coach that has messed it up. Not a current NBA player on that team. Couple of two-way contract guys

Watched a little online … Heritage-Birdville was a tremendous game The Texas UIL has absolutely ruined high school basketball playoffs for me These state semi-finals should not be scattered around the state as they are. Im old school with high school basketball … the state tournament was a SPECIAL event for me growing up

    lol That 83 will be scrutinized plenty ... but what a freaking achievement. 31 in the first quarter ... was on fire. After it got 45 at half, you knew Miami was going to feed him every trip as long as the game maintained a Heat 15-20 point lead. Bam averages 18.9 per game before last night. Pretty wild

    California OL locks in Texas OV Orange Lutheran OL Lucas Rhoa has locked in an official visit to Texas the weekend of June 19-21. The 6-5, 305 pounder has been in constant contact with Texas offensive line coach Kyle Flood for sometime. Multiple Texas coaches were by Orange Lutheran in January. Texas offered in May of 2025. This is the first known OV date for 2027 offensive tackle. The most recent entry offers for Rhoa are Georgia, Penn State and Florida.

    Went well. Sark and Juluk's January visit went very well in January too. Texas knows they are very much in it! Doesn't really mean much right now though. This one will be NIL driven through the June OV's barring a major change

    Texas has money, but there are levels to it. Texas doesn't have close to what tier 1's have. Just reality. Matas will be double to be here year two. "IF" Swain were to come back, he would be dang near double. Goosby wasn't cheap out of HS (even though he turned down double+ from BYU and double from Duke) In a scenario Swain came back (which I am not predicting), that's A LOT tied up by potentially your three best players. 55-60% I think that's the main difference in tier 1 NIL programs ... that's 33'ish%.

    New 2027 IOL offer Keyon Hemphill-Woods (6-3, 280) of Columbus High (Texas) tells OTF he has not locked in his OV to Texas. The plan is to have one locked in by the end of the week. June 12-14 looks likely. He currently has Cal June 5-7, and Auburn June 19-21. http://www.hudl.com/v/2TQg4e
