  1. Well, that one stung. Again. The underdogs had a weekend across the whole conference. Five of the seven underdogs on the Mayo board won outright: Florida, Auburn (+20.5 at Georgia!), Tennessee, Arkansas and Kentucky. 76% of the board took Alabama -8.5 and the Vols won by 16. The one thing the board got right: 76% took Kentucky +6.5, and Kentucky didn't need the points. Congrats to @Alex Butler, who Holds the Mayo after going 5-2 in Week 7. @Jordan Scruggs also went 5-2, but Alex's picks were in first. Week 8 is open. Six SEC games against the spread, best record Holds the Mayo, ties go to whoever picked first: LSU (-8.5) at Auburn, 11:00 AM CT Texas A&M at Alabama (-14.5), 2:30 PM CT Tennessee at South Carolina (-2.5), 2:30 PM CT Oklahoma (-4.5) at Mississippi State, 2:30 PM CT Vanderbilt at Kentucky (-11.5), 6:30 PM CT Ole Miss at Texas (-3.5), 6:30 PM CT The pick for each game locks at its own kickoff, and you can change your picks any time between now and then without losing your place in line. So after last week, which underdog wins outright this time? Ole Miss just beat Missouri 31-3 and Texas is only laying 3.5 at home, and I'm obviously nervous about that one. Tennessee getting points against South Carolina after what they did to Bama seems off to me. Let's get back on track Saturday night. stance.fm/mayo Hook 'em! 🤘
  2. Lacey needs to start on Saturday. If things aren't markedly better by half, perhaps that gives Arch a boost of confidence to put on the cape and be a hero. At this point I think it's safe to say Arch isn't going to get his head fixed overnight, and starting him feels like the definition of insanity. Additionally, I think if Texas does drop a third game in a row, Sark will get more grace if he starts Lacey than if he starts Arch.
  3. Lacey needs to start on Saturday. If there isn't a marked improvement by half, that could give Arch a boost of confidence because he'll see it's not all on him, and he can put on the cape and be the hero. I don't think Texas fans will get the sample we all want to see if you let Arch start and then bench him midway through the game, because that's asking a lot of Lacey. If Sark starts Arch and Texas drops a 3rd game in a row and 2nd at home, I think the only way Sark keeps his job is if he agrees to hire an OC (Chip Kelley???) but that might not even be enough.
  4. Sorry about that Paul! Your old picks are moved over to your Google sign-in now. Head back to stance.fm/mayo and you should be good to go for Week 7.
  5. Agreed. Bama and Georgia are the only 2 favorites I'm pretty confident about, same as it ever was.
  6. Woof, last weekend was rough, but at least we got to hate watch A&M lose to Missouri and former Longhorn CJ Baxter help lead Kentucky in their upset of LSU. 2 overtime wins with a 2-point conversion in 2 weeks?! Unreal. 82% of the Mayo board took Texas -9.5 in Dallas. We all know how that went. It wasn't just Texas. 82% also had Florida -14.5, and South Carolina won by 19. Another 82% had Tennessee -13.5, and the Vols won by just 7. Congrats to @McCoy2Shipley, who Holds the Mayo after going 5-2 in Week 6. Five of you also finished 5-2 (@Bunk Moreland, @BKBTX, @TravelingHorn, and @WRNC), but McCoy2Shipley's picks were in first. Week 7 is open. Seven SEC games against the spread, best record Holds the Mayo, ties go to whoever picked first: Florida at Texas (-10.5), 11:00 AM CT Mississippi State at LSU (-12.5), 11:00 AM CT Auburn at Georgia (-20.5), 2:30 PM CT Alabama (-8.5) at Tennessee, 2:30 PM CT Missouri at Ole Miss (-6.5), 2:30 PM CT Arkansas at Vanderbilt (-6.5), 6:00 PM CT Kentucky at Oklahoma (-6.5), 6:30 PM CT The pick for each game locks at its own kickoff, and you can change your picks any time between now and then without losing your place in line. That being said, which of these seven lines is the most wrong? Texas laying 10.5 a week after losing as a 9.5-point favorite seems sus, but I think with Florida's defensive issues they could reasonably cover. Personally I wouldn't be surprised to see Missouri upset Ole Miss and I'm not convinced LSU will cover 12.5, but I've got my 👀 on that Kentucky-OU matchup. OU favored by nearly a touchdown? Here's to hoping for a big bounce back win this weekend for the Horns. stance.fm/mayo Hook 'em! 🤘
  7. This stat from this post was the first thing that went through my mind as soon as OU scored on the punt block 😭
  8. It's the most wonderful time of the year again: Hate Week! It dawned on me today that OU did exactly as well against Georgia as Arkansas did: both lost by 28. Yikes. Congrats to @PaulieD for winning Week 5 with a record of 4-2! It was a crowded week: eleven of you finished 4-2, and PaulieD's picks were in first. Week 6 of Hold the Mayo is open. Seven SEC games, each one picked against the spread. Person with the best record Holds the Mayo next week. Tiebreaker to first one to submit their picks. Texas A&M @ Missouri (-2.5), 11:00 AM CT South Carolina @ Florida (-14.5), 11:45 AM CT Texas (-9.5) vs Oklahoma (Dallas), 2:30 PM CT Ole Miss (-9.5) @ Vanderbilt, 2:30 PM CT Tennessee (-13.5) @ Arkansas, 3:15 PM CT LSU (-10.5) @ Kentucky, 6:00 PM CT Georgia (-0.5) @ Alabama, 6:30 PM CT Picks for each game lock at its own kickoff, and you can change your picks any time between now and then. Changing a pick won't cost you your spot in the tiebreaker either. The Season tab has everyone's running record since Week 3: stance.fm/mayo?week=season Below are some highlights from Week 5: stance.fm/mayo p.s. it's 2:09 and OU STILL SUCKS!!! Hook 'em 🤘

  9. Texas football might be on Hold this week, but the Mayo isn't. Congrats to @SueVide for winning Week 4 with a record of 7-2! Honorable mention to jasonwason who also went 7-2, but SueVide's picks were in first. Week 5 of Hold the Mayo is open. Six SEC games, each one picked against the spread. Person with the best record Holds the Mayo next week. Tiebreaker to first one to submit their picks. Alabama (-6) @ Mississippi State Vanderbilt @ Georgia (-24.5) Auburn @ Tennessee (-7) Florida (-5) @ Missouri Kentucky @ South Carolina (-3) Arkansas @ Texas A&M (-14) McNeese @ LSU was supposed to be on here, but no lines were available when this week's picks opened on Monday. The board also now has a Season tab with everyone's running record since Week 3: stance.fm/mayo?week=season Below are some highlights from Week 4: stance.fm/mayo 🤘

  10. Season standings are now live: https://stance.fm/mayo?week=season There are 2 views: Win % - ranked once you've played 2+ weeks (newer players are listed underneath until then) Record - most wins, regardless of weeks played jasonwason currently leads both views at 13-6. The top of the page also lists each week's Spreadwinner, and every past week now has its own tab, so you can pull up any week's results. If anyone has suggestions for improvements I'm happy to discuss. I appreciate everyone who has played so far! 🤘
  11. Absolutely! I will add Season Standings this week so everyone can track how they're doing across the whole season. Also, McNeese @ LSU doesn't have a line out yet (at least none I could find), so I took it off this week's board. Week 5 is 6 games.
  12. Congrats to @SueVide, you Hold the Mayo for Week 5 after going 7-2! Honorable mention to @jasonwason, who also went 7-2 but finished their board after SueVide. Full leaderboard is up at stance.fm/mayo. Week 5's board opens tomorrow morning at 7am. Happy to move that if another day works better for everyone.
  13. Right there with you. That's why I prefer to play with Schrute Bucks instead of real human dollars.
  14. True story. Closest score prediction 2 weeks in a row, including an exact score prediction for OSU. Crushing it!
  15. Yep! Each week's leaderboard will stay visible on stance.fm/mayo and I'm even happy to start a "season" leaderboard that sums the records from each week if anyone wants to see that. If you have any ideas for improvement I'm all ears, happy to make any tweaks that would make it more fun for everyone.
  16. Week 4 Hold the Mayo picks are open as of this morning. Nine SEC games this week, all graded against the spread. Underdogs covered 8 of 11 last week. @Budtexas called it best at 8-2-1 and holds the Mayo this week. Week 3 results thread is here. Enter your Hold the Mayo picks at stance.fm/mayo Each game locks at its own kickoff, and you can update your picks at any point between now and then. Best record Saturday night Holds the Mayo next week.
  17. 83 OTF fans filled out a board for week 3. Nine finished above .500. Here's how it went. @Budtexas wins it at 8-2 and Holds the Mayo going into Week 4. Nobody else finished within a game of them, and their board was one of a kind. No other board of the 83 had the same eleven picks. What they did that almost nobody else did was take six underdogs. The favorites got wrecked. Take the favorite in every game and you finish 2-8. Four boards did exactly that. Take the underdog in every game and you finish 8-2. The boards agreed with each other a lot. 83 boards produced 44 different slates. The most popular one, turned in by 15 people, went 4-6. Take the most popular pick in all eleven games and you also go 4-6. Where the boards were surest, the boards were most wrong: 96% took Tennessee to win by more than 34.5. They won by 33. 96% took Texas to win by more than 29.5. They won by 24. 92% took Oklahoma to win by more than 23.5. They won by 8. 84% took Missouri to win by more than 27.5. They won by 10. Three people took UTSA to stay within 29.5, and all three were right: @NCHorn, @Longhornfrenzy, and @TravelingHorn. Two of them finished 7-3, tied for second. Nobody could win Vanderbilt. They were favored by 4 and won by exactly 4. That game pushed for all 83 boards, no win and no loss, which is why the records read out of ten. The full spread: one board at 8-2, three at 7-3, five at 6-4, eighteen at 5-5, and 56 below .500. The Week 3 leaderboard is also now published at stance.fm/mayo if you want to check it out. Week 4 picks open at 7 AM Monday. Nine SEC games, same rules: every game against the spread, best record takes it, ties go to whoever finished first. Win it and you Hold the Mayo going into Week 5.

  18. Congrats to @Budtexas, you Hold the Mayo this week! Full results will be posted tomorrow.
  19. The forum thread is here: And you can get to the game board here: https://stance.fm/mayo
  20. I think that last image got compressed. Here's a full resolution version: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15gR5mnO1eFzqCQSVBoPgSLrjLJ-QhBaY/view?usp=sharing
  21. For anyone interested in the full board, a couple highlights: Rod Babers had the closest prediction of OTF's official picks, 27-23, off by 3. 8 OTF fans were off by 3 or better, tying or beating Rod.
  22. Morning update: 53 boards are in for Hold the Mayo. Without giving any spoilers, a few things the boards say so far: There are 34 different slates across 53 boards. The most popular one is shared by 8 people. Only 1 game is a coin flip. Bobby, Gerry, Hank and CJ have all played, and they only agree on 6 of the 11 games. Good stuff!
