  1. Yep, that’s the contingency. Change the offense to 20 QB runs a game and 15 passes.
  2. The OL was always going to regress pretty significantly when you lose your starting center, left guard, right tackle, and left tackle all to the NFL. Not to mention your LT was a top 10 pick and the Center being the most difficult to replace. Outside of having all new starters the biggest issue I see even with improvement is the lack of athleticism at left guard. That is a Charlie Strong level offensive guard.
  3. The talent that DeBoer has called into was absolutely elite and a top 3 roster in the sport. The situations that he walked into and others like Sark walked into are very different. You can’t go 5-5 in your last 10 and losses to more unranked teams in the last 12 months than the program had in the last 15 years with that roster. If he goes 8-4 this year Bama will fire him.
  4. You say after beating LSU like that’s something that will happen. Florida goes to Death Valley the week before and takes on the same LSU squad that just handled Clemson in the road. It’s very probable that Florida is coming off a loss at Death Valley when we play them.
  5. The reality is, you don’t play the national champions on the road to a one score game and hold them to 200 yards total offense with a chance to tie the game in your last possession and drop below #5 or 6. And the biggest reason that Clemson must be below Texas and Notre Dame is that they were the one team out of this group that played at home with a senior QB, upperclassmen all over the place, and the crowd in a frenzy to lay that egg.
  6. Problem is that the money and Tech’s overall talent on the OL is going to force the kid on the field far before he is ready which sacrifices his NFL future.
  7. The fact that they also were able to keep Shepherd and offload the Jalen Green contract is a pretty massive piece to this as well.
  8. If Texas gets a mid week with Cooper do we realistically think he would pick Texas over the visits he is doing the full weekend visit for?
  9. Many of those “what if’s” are fantasy. There was zero chance that AD was ever going to come back after the season he had and having a young daughter to provide for. And the Sweat and Murphy thoughts about the season being better well those guys were seniors. It’s not like those two what if’s were even remotely possible.
  10. This is probably the best one they've ever done.
  11. It’s pretty simple in DL recruiting especially in the southeast. Decisions are made almost entirely around NIL. The programs who push all their chips into DL recruiting in the final weeks before signing day get the top guys. The ones who don’t go all in don’t get the must have dudes. Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, and now seemingly Florida understand this.
  12. You can certainly question Sark’s decision of Lacey vs Russell. But, Sark knows better than anyone which QB’s skill sets translate to his offense of getting the ball into his playmakers’ hands. I also believe Russell is a better player than Lacey. However, the reality of the situation now is that Russell is a top 3 national recruit. Not many of those guys are willing to come in and sit behind a guaranteed starter for at least 2 years at a minimum without having a chance to start. For that reason I don’t think his commitment would have stuck at Texas as his profile rose.
  13. 83.4 grade from PFF in a game against that level of NFL talent and in a game where the offensive line gave up that many sacks shows just how solid Banks was in his assignments. And that those sacks were far more on the QB not stepping up or and holding onto the ball too long as opposed to Banks getting whipped.
  14. Whoever is left out of the SEC title game out of Texas, Georgia, and LSU may actually be in a much better position to make a playoff run than the two that play in the SEC championship. Of course you want to make it to Atlanta, but the team with all of that rest and preparation could be set up best.
