  1. Many of those “what if’s” are fantasy. There was zero chance that AD was ever going to come back after the season he had and having a young daughter to provide for. And the Sweat and Murphy thoughts about the season being better well those guys were seniors. It’s not like those two what if’s were even remotely possible.
  2. This is probably the best one they've ever done.
  3. It’s pretty simple in DL recruiting especially in the southeast. Decisions are made almost entirely around NIL. The programs who push all their chips into DL recruiting in the final weeks before signing day get the top guys. The ones who don’t go all in don’t get the must have dudes. Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, and now seemingly Florida understand this.
  4. You can certainly question Sark’s decision of Lacey vs Russell. But, Sark knows better than anyone which QB’s skill sets translate to his offense of getting the ball into his playmakers’ hands. I also believe Russell is a better player than Lacey. However, the reality of the situation now is that Russell is a top 3 national recruit. Not many of those guys are willing to come in and sit behind a guaranteed starter for at least 2 years at a minimum without having a chance to start. For that reason I don’t think his commitment would have stuck at Texas as his profile rose.
  5. 83.4 grade from PFF in a game against that level of NFL talent and in a game where the offensive line gave up that many sacks shows just how solid Banks was in his assignments. And that those sacks were far more on the QB not stepping up or and holding onto the ball too long as opposed to Banks getting whipped.
  6. Whoever is left out of the SEC title game out of Texas, Georgia, and LSU may actually be in a much better position to make a playoff run than the two that play in the SEC championship. Of course you want to make it to Atlanta, but the team with all of that rest and preparation could be set up best.
  7. At some point in the NIL era does Georgia have to make decisions on which DL to allocate their money to? With the commitment of 5 star Elijah Griffin last week that makes 3 DT's and 2 DE's with Terry and Mbatchou still on the board. Of that group, Gibson, Griffin, and Terry are all 5 Stars which means they are commanding very large NIL deals. Does there come a point where they have to let one or even two of these guys go due to not enough dollars on the payroll? And schools like Texas, Oregon, USC, Ohio State driving up the costs. Or does UGA simply have enough in the war chest to afford everyone? This is no longer the era where these kids are willing to take less just to play for Georgia or Bama. Nick has even said as much and that was one of the reasons he wanted out. Not saying Georgia plays by the rules either, but the money has got to be getting up there even for them.
  8. All of what you said is true. That said a chunk of that Bama 2nd half yardage came on that final offensive play. (76 yards) My point is that if they had been outscored 27-3 in the second half at home after being up 30-7 at half what would the headline have been? No doubt Bama played phenomenal in the first half and he coached phenomenal in the first half. However for a portion of that second half they looked shell shocked. Regardless it was a fantastic game. My point is that if it wasn’t for that play the conversation today about the second half is very different.
  9. If the Ryan Williams play does not happen Bama was looking at being outscored 27-3 in the second half and blowing a 30-7 halftime lead at home. Williams pretty much saved DeBoer from being the talk of college football in a very bad way. Kirby and his staff severely outcoached the Bama staff in the second half. And other than the freshman saving them they looked to have no answers.
  10. This is so bizarre and makes zero sense to me. There is literally nothing to do in Norman, OK outside of football.
  11. Kelenna Azubuike was the best I played against. In basketball his senior year he averaged around 40 a game. He went to Kentucky and was all-SEC there and then played in the nba for a while. Played him in the Championship of an AAU tournament. He had a put back dunk on me in the lane that was the worst facial I ever received. I still have nightmares of that dunk.
