He's been great! But (1) to reach our ceiling, we need to get Livingston going and (2) Jim only likes Larson against RHPs

Ehh, Jim and Max had to decide how to rebuild a hollowed out roster. They started with pitching, and our freshmen arms are insane. The position player group is great at the top, but as Jim has repeatedly said, the position player depth is not where he wants it to be. He'll get it there.

That's the consensus about this team. Staff can compete with anybody, the ceiling will be determined by the offense. It's a long season, we've looked good in all games before this one, Jonah needs to get up to game speed, etc... but still. Outside of Robbins, we've been totally non-competitive against a #2 starter from the Big 10. Not a great day!

And somehow still this michigan st pitcher has only 75 pitches through 6 innings. If you're gonna take meatballs... at least stay consistent and drive his pitch count up. Frustrating offense today. There seems to be no plan.

I don't like the decision to steal there. You've got a baserunner on in front of murderer's row, with only 1 out... the extra 90 is not worth the risk at that point.

Sharp leadoff single from the 8 hole, walks the 9 hole. Please don't leave Harrison out there for a third time through the heart of the order... they've already been all over him.

Can't wait for Jonah to be fully healthy (stop me if you've heard this one before lol) to see his speed put pressure on defenses. In these two games so far, there have been a couple ground balls I'd have loved to see him leg out, speed up the defensive clocks, and either steal a baserunner outright or force mistakes

We're lucky they only have 1. With how deep our staff is, and since we didn't have to use anybody critical yesterday, and with Volantis tomorrow... I need me some Grubbs and Burns asap!

Harrison not missing many bats or barrels. Good swings against him, comfortable at bats. Let's hope he dials in the command or eventually they'll break through.
