What really pissed me off with this whole Sark/Holly thing is what Paul Finebaum spewed yesterday. Finebaum got a question as tohis thoughts on Sark not talking to Holly Rowe for the post game interview. He said Sark “treated her like trash”! His reasoning, he said, “Holly Rowe has done more for CFB than It has for her”. he also said the Network (ESPN/ABC) he refused an interview with pours money into college football and therefore all coaches should speak to Holly Rowe or whomever wants a “minute” of their time. they owe it to the network! The special moment Sark was having didn’t matter. My thought is this. How much money is CFB making for the networks. The answer…Enough that they can outbid everyone else for the rights to televise them and still make millions/billions. How much money did the network make off of CFB Saturday night? Now….who should be more grateful? Yes, Sark should have maybe been a little more graceful, and Holly a little less offended. Read the moment!

I think rankings in early September are misleading at best. It’s nice to be included as ONE of the best teams in the country but, we really don’t know which ones are the best until everyone finishes beating up on their little sisters. Let’s wait and see how some of them handle it when they have some adversity and how they handle it. Who are the better teams to date? Hell I have no clue. I do know that our Longhorns are in that mix. Let’s hope the playoff committee grows some real balls and start pointing out weak schedules when releasing their top 25 in about 5-6 weeks. Being undefeated with a weak schedule should not be rewarded (Notre Dame is a great example!).

Grandson brought his friend over for a swim on July 4th. Just finished 8th grade. 6’3” 265 lbs. kid is chiseled! Said he likes Baylor. I told him forget Baylor!
