The Women’s NCAA championship starts Friday morning. Here’s the breakdown of what the NCAA format is: The championship format in Carlsbad will include 30 teams and six individuals completing 54 holes of stroke play, and then the top 15 teams along with the top nine individuals not on an advancing team competing for one additional day of stroke play to determine the top eight teams for match play competition and the 72-hole stroke play individual champion. The top eight teams then compete in match play for the team national championship to be decided May 27. The teams that qualified are Southern California Ohio State Duke Northwestern Texas Tech Texas North Carolina Oklahoma State Michigan State Virginia Auburn Houston Arkansas Iowa State Ole Miss Stanford Pepperdine Oregon State Arizona State missouri Wake Forest Florida State Florida Eastern Michigan Kentucky SMU Texas A&M Baylor LSU Tennessee

Both Men and Women NCAA championship rounds will be on Golf Channel for Stroke and Match Play. They hold exclusive rights for the events. The women I believe start on Friday morning in California.

Don’t know if there’s a Golf thread for Texas already in here somewhere but just wanted to point out how impressive the Men were today. women are already through to the NCAA championships that start this weekend. The Men today went absolutely bezerk. Thru the 3 rounds they completed in College Station Regional they’re -45 as a final score. They set a Texas program record in the second round with a score this morning of -23. They finished five shots ahead of Texas A&M who was hosting the regional and are onto the NCAA championship stroke play. The Individual scores were: Morrison (-10) Potter (-17) *1st place* Maas (-10) Comegys (-6) Bennett (-7) If they can continue this tear into the NCAA stroke play and Match play we may see a real title contender for Texas. 👀🤘🏻

Gotta catch up to Texas A&M in Women’s Tennis!

Don’t know if it’s been reported on here but Field of 68s Rocco Miller reported the other day that Texas MBB Non Con schedule is almost Complete. I really like that they’re playing Memphis and in the San Diego Multi-Team Event that includes UCLA, St.Marys and G-Town. Don’t love the amount of fluff in this schedule. Would’ve rather them play more Q1 games early in the season than play this amount of gimmes. Also curious to see who they get for the ACC/SEC challenge game, heard it could be UNC on the road.
