    Regardless of whether RT saves his job in the next couple of weeks or not, whoever the HMBBC is next season must get more NIL support. That way if RT or another HC comes in here and doesn't succeed, no one can use the lack of funds excuse. It will be due to their own shortcomings as a HC.

    Indiana had a chance to return to prominence under Kelvin Sampson. What he got canned for was legal a few years later. If that doesn’t happen, I think IU would’ve won at least one more title and had several deep tourney runs to this day. Tom Crean was a good coach, but his ceiling wasn’t as high as what IU fans had become accustomed to in Knight’s heyday, so he was let go. I just don’t see them reaching those heights again. Like Nebraska football and USC baseball, college athletics has evolved so much, and this once proud program did not evolve with it.

    Yeah IU MBB is USC baseball and Nebraska football. Highly unlikely they become relevant ever again. Maybe a pop year here and there but not a perennial power like they were under Bobby Knight. Would rather be a HMBBC at Texas than Indiana in the NIL era for sure.

    That’s more like it, CDC! Taking a page out of Sark’s playbook with HS recruiting. Flex them dollars and resources on ‘em. No reason Texas can’t be a top 10 program in 21 of 21 athletic programs on campus.

    I don't think he wants to deal with this new era of CMBB and NIL. It's the reason he quit coaching in the first place. That was off a Final Four appearance too. That's why I think unless RT gets to the Sweet 16 or better, CDC will go with a younger offensive minded HC.

    Stock and crypto markets have been rough lately. Too risky for me. I pulled out. Would rather invest my hard-earned money into the Texas One Fund to field a better MBB team next season. Not financial advice.
