    Mississippi will be a tough out for anyone this season. OU and UGA will have their hands full with them in Oxford. Lane Kiffin would be a fool to leave them for a job like Florida where the expectations are sky high. He can stay there forever and build his own legacy. Have a statue and the stadium named after him even.

    Ladies and gentlemen, this game is just another episode on Cristoballing. You can always count on him to spit the bed against an opponent he should beat handily. If this keeps up, Quinn Ewers will have a great chance to retake the lead in the Heisman race assuming he plays tomorrow and has a good showing and doesn’t reinjure himself. You love to see it.

    And think about it, for all the success OU has had this century, against Texas and in the Big 12 as a whole, you could argue they were BCS voters choosing FSU over Miami away from not having any national titles this century despite all those Heismans and all those conference titles during that stretch. Now their window might be closing for now if this season goes off the rails like a lot of people are predicting.

    True but I think Sark is a better HC than Venables but he still lost to them last season. Sometimes once a rival has your number, it can carry over to different coaching staffs (i.e., Ohio State over Michigan from 2000-2019, Florida over Tennessee from Spurrier-Fulmer era to now, Florida over Georgia from Spurrier era to the end of the Richt era). Doesn’t mean Sark can’t flip the series and go on a tear. Even Brown took 4 of 5 from Stoops between 2005 and 2009.

    Obviously it’s fun to clown OU for what’s going on with them rn, but that just makes losing to them 17 of 25 times this century sting even more. Texas needs to bring the same level of intensity to that game they do and dominate them not just this season, but for years to come. By 2030, the record should be much closer than it is rn

    Yeah. Believe it or not, not every 5-star prospect wants to come to Texas. Even Bama at the peak of their dynasty didn’t get every 5-star. Sometimes it’s for the best. Texas is gonna get their guys as long as they keep winning like this, developing and putting 8+ players a year into the NFL draft.

    Nah, he will stick with OU unless Bedenbaugh gets fired. If that happens maybe he flips to Texas, but I could also see him choose another program where he could start immediately. That would not happen at Texas. Texas is all in the John Turntine III sweepstakes at this point.
