  1. Completely agree Bobby! I felt less sure about the last 9. Just feels great to have a program where fans can argue 8-12 players can get drafted before the season starts. Of course a good handful of those are transfers, but that’s just a testament to how much kids want to play on the 40 acres.
  2. During Friday’s Coffee and Football Bobby mentioned it’ll be tough to top the amount of Texas Longhorns taken in this year’s draft next year. After looking through the roster, I’m not sure I agree. I think the following players should be drafted should they declare: 1. QB Quinn Ewers (1st round) 2. WR Isaiah Bond (1st round) 3. OT Kelvin Banks (1st round) 4. WR Matthew Golden (2nd-3rd round) 5. S Andrew Mukuba (3rd-4th round) 6. TE Amari Niblack (3rd-4th round) 7. OLB Trey Moore (3rd-4th round) 8. RB Jaydon Blue (3rd-4th round) 9. DT Alfred Collins (4th-5th round) 10. DE Barryn Sorrell (5th-7th round) 11. WR Silas Bolden (5th-7th round) 12. NB Jahdae Barron (5th-7th round) This list doesn’t include guys who I think could declare if they have a great year, including TE Gunnar Helm, OG DJ Campbell, DE Ethan Burke, and CB Terrance Brooks. There are fringe guys, too, such as C Jake Majors and LB David Gbenda. I may be higher on the above list of guys than most regarding their NFL potential, and some nay not declare altogether. That’s a long way away. But it wouldn’t surprise me to see Texas with 10-12 guys getting drafted next year knowing the talent they’ve brought in. What are y’all’s thoughts here? This look like one helluva loaded roster.
  3. All I’m saying is I’d love to see CJ livestream his Longhorns Dynasty on the new College Football 24 game
  4. Is this just Twitter/message board smoke or is there something here with Grant?
  5. Now what does Kenneth Grant, Mason Graham, and Jaheim Oatis think of him? Asking for a friend
  6. Are there any transfer portal rumblings? Is Tacario Davis an option?
  7. (Thanks for distracting me while I get through this Friday of work) I posted this on a thread but I’d like to know y’all’s thoughts on the best lower ranked guys (3*) on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Similarly, I’d like to know which 3* from the 2024 recruiting class should be starters down the line.
  8. I’m going to throw out the QB position with my answer. Jaydon Blue/Alfred Collins
  9. Development matters. 5* athletes are great, but sometimes the staff needs to point to a 3* success story and show a high schooler how they developed them into being a guy who plays on Sundays. So, now that 3* success stories like Jaylan Ford and T’Vondre Sweat are off to the NFL, who is Texas’ most impactful 3* (high school rated) on the roster? Some examples below: - Barryn Sorrell, DE - Hayden Connor, OL - Gunnar Helm, TE - Jake Majors, C - Ethan Burke, DE
  10. Colt McCoy, but Jordan Whittington is up there too. Not a superstar talent, but was a junk yard dog who bled Burnt Orange. His impact on the locker room will be felt for a long time.
  11. Thoughts on who would be the most impactful defensive newcomer? Andrew Mukuba is my best bet… he’s great when he plays safety. But, Trey Moore, Tia Savea, and freshman early enrollees (particularly if/when injuries happen) like Collin Simmons, Kobe Black, Xavier Filsaime, Alex January could all be impact guys IMO
