  1. Past hour
  2. 👀 if you’re sorry for his future loss, that would mean we see KJ 👀 Gerry with a Hello from the top rope
  3. Was not impressed at all. The team still lacks shooting and the pg and center position look rough.
  4. 6-0 with competent QB play, at least 5-1. Have to make a change. It’s still salvageable.
  5. Never a dull moment.
  6. I think Bjorn can be that reliable outside shooter. She is tall and can get her shot off. She just needs to get used to the offense and find her niche. Breya has more post up moves but she needs to he careful trying to block everything. She is prone to fouling. This team has loads of talent. Just so young.
  7. Fear of taking more big hits is even more real if you've been seriously injured.
  8. First exhibition game for Texas, second for UConn. Vic had freshmen Bjorn, Etute, and Crittendon guarding Strong. Welcome to college, ladies. As I said on IT, if a team isn't going to take a lot of 3s, they better not let the other team take a lot. But a lot of UConn's 3s came on defensive breakdowns from Texas. Not all, but quite a few. That being said, it wasn't unexpected to have those breakdowns with all the new and young players still getting their sea legs. Also, Texas needs to take more 3s. At least a few more. Book looks better than ever. Need more from Bry. And not a good sign to have Breya already dealing with foul trouble. Lizzie did well in her minutes, I thought, especially being a true frosh running pg for Vic, at UConn, in her first playing time. We need a few players to step up on offense. Not gonna take too much negative from today on that front, given the context. I'm sure players like Bjorn, Crittendon, Etute, and Clark will all settle in as they adjust to the speed of the game and more shots will fall. Hopefully the same for Vann as she gets more familiar with the offense. Lots for Vic to take from this game. Will be really interesting to see how they adjust over the preseason and into non-conference play. They have insane talent. It's up to Vic to get everyone not named Booker (who is already there) to tap into it more consistently.
  9. I should do that as well. Might be one less I could sit on
  10. Man. How did we get here….
  11. We aren’t beating Ole Miss (or anyone else) with Arch playing qb. We need to see what KJ has, I’m excited about him and at least you will know if you need an experienced transfer qb or not next year.
  12. Arch hasn't even entered the portal and we've already got him at Ole Miss throwing for 5,000 yards and at LSU beating Texas out of spite. 😂 At this rate, by next week he'll have won the Heisman at both schools, claimed two national titles, and be giving his Hall of Fame induction speech. Meanwhile, back here in reality, he's still Texas' quarterback. 🤷‍♂️🏈
  13. Today
  14. While I agree with you on some hits staying with you, I think Q was never physically the same after that hit. He never had the arm strength / velocity that he had prior to that hit and the injury caused by it.
  15. Believe you said this in another thread(believe that was you).......and i agree
  16. I think it’s protecting the ball . He’s not playing loose because he is scared to turn the ball over . He is best when he is a gunslinger, and except for a couple of isolated throws, he’s too scared to do that right now. Whether it be coaches, family, or his own headspace, he is a little scared to sling it . It’s been reinforced by him giving 2 games away with 2 turnovers. Last year he protected the ball pretty well, and wasn’t so shell shocked.
  17. QBs can take some brutal shots. It's not a stretch to suspect that there could be subconscious behaviors to avoid taking hits like that. For me, it would most likely be entirely conscious. I still vividly remember a hit I took almost 60 years ago in seventh grade.
  18. So now the standard for "developed" is being a top-7 NFL pick? That's a pretty convenient moving target. Quinn arrived at Texas coming off limited playing time, won a conference championship, made the Playoff, improved his command of the offense, improved his decision-making, and left as an NFL draft pick. If that's "not developed," then a whole lot of college coaches around the country would love to fail that way. That's confusing draft position with player development. Not every 5-star becomes a top-7 pick. The question is whether Quinn left Texas better than he arrived. Unless we're pretending the Quinn from his first season and the Quinn from his final season were the exact same player, the answer is pretty obvious.
  19. Best of the year no doubt
  20. QE was perfect for Sark prior to the Dallas Turner hit against Alabama. Go back and watch the video. The 20 yard out across the field just before that hit was a throw only a handful of NFL guys could make. He was never the same after that hit.
  21. That is not the Arch we saw the second half of last season so we know he can play much better. Something has caused him to become apprehensive and play tight. Fear of throwing an interception? Not trusting his receivers to continue on the proper route? Expecting to get blasted by a 350 pound DT because he doesn't trust his OL? The overall pressure of everyone's expectations? Or all of that combined? I presume the team has a sports psychologist who can help him work through whatever it is.
  22. But i would like to know what other players are getting reps with the ones
