Just me, but I think the schedule stuff is overrated when talking Heisman Trophy ... your performance and earning the award gets it done. That's like saying Mendoza wasn't Heisman worthy last year because he played IU's regular season schedule (3 total cupcakes and no Ohio State until Big 10 title game) vs. some others in contention, but he clearly was. If a player goes and tears it up against a brutal schedule, they would absolutely deserve it, but it doesn't mean a tremendous player playing a lesser P4 schedule doesn't because the only thing they can control is their performance.
