  1. Past hour
  2. Let me know if selling. Thank you and Hook ‘em!
  3. Nick Townsend returned to practice on Thursday, per a source close to the Texas tight end. Big news for the Longhorns after Townsend exited the Ohio State game with a knee injury.

  4. Given the rise of the "SEC bias" sentiment based on the AP Poll's (terrible) rankings, I thought it would be a good exercise to see just how accurate this narrative was. I approached the poll like an academic study, including a methodology section (I am a JD not a PHD but figured it'd be an interesting experiment). For the study, I removed the ballots of every AP Poll voter who could be considered to have an SEC affiliation to see what the poll would look like without "SEC bias" having an impact. The only team from the SEC that moved down was Missouri, who went from ranked 25 to 27. Other SEC teams actually moved up in the rankings. I attached the study results and methodology as a word doc if anyone wants to share it. Feel free to use it however you'd like, but in the days of misinformation, I felt like facts could be beneficial. Analytical look at SEC Bias in the AP Poll.docx
  5. Section 117. $375 each OBO. For reference, that's cheaper than every pair for sale in the Texas section on Seatgeek.
  6. That's just my initial thoughts. Crittendon in the mix too. Don't hold me to it! lol
  7. Today
  8. You thinking Atkinson doesn't fit what Muschamp wants at LB?
  9. Disagree with you on this one. Does Coach Vic frustrate me at times? You bet. But facts are that since Coach Conradt, Texas hasn’t been relevant in women’s bball until Coach Vic came. And Texas had some elite recruits before his time as well - but part of recruiting is on the coach. Coach Vic has recruited more elite players than Texas has seen in prior years. Karen Aston would pull maybe 1 or 2 in (Ariel Atkins) and got lucky that Brooke McCarty was good, but she wasn’t elite. Part of the reason UConn and the other schools win is because they have way more talent than the rest of the league. I argue it’s a lot easier to win when your starting team is composed of the top 50 players in the country. During their Dynasty UConn had the top ranked recruit almost every year. Now Texas is in the conversation to get those types of players where in previous years they wouldn’t even have a chance.
  10. I have 4 Red River tickets i'm looking to part with. Happy to sell 2, 3 or all 4. Price is $350 each.
  11. That camp performance clearly stuck with the staff, getting the offer this early gives Texas a real head start.
  12. Portal retention is gonna matter more than a few extra garbage-time snaps. An experienced LB addition could help, but keeping that young depth intact is the bigger win.
  13. Mumps is a brutal way to get wrecked on a depth chart, Oregon Trail really did prepare us for random disaster lol.
  14. Should’ve been 5-21, unfortunately!
  15. Roy, you've said this a couple of times. Two things can be true at once: Just because I believe OU has an elite defense doesn't discount the fact that I also believe Texas has an elite defense. Both things can be true. And I believe both things are true.
  16. I'm not throwing shade or anything of the sort on Tyler Atkinson. But Okpala and Cummings are likely priorities IMO.
  17. Look at Florida. No wonder Napier got the axe.
  18. Yeah, I have a feeling there will be a huge effort to retain a lot of defensive players while adding key players at positions (at least one experienced LB comes to mind and maybe a S. Just off the top of my head anyway). I would've liked to see them get a bit more run to build depth but perhaps it's a trust thing?
  19. They are true freshman. They should stick around.
