And why ask that question? I don’t think it’s even subjective. This years team far more talented with less holes. You’re just baiting him to say that. Why would friendly media engage in that?

I'm curious to hear from Arch in general after his last spring availability where he was the most talkative we had seen him so far in his career. Definitely carrying a more relaxed vibe.

i drive in and stay for games. I usually book a room at holiday inn midtown. it's an older hotel but it usually has good deals. short walk to Pluckers for dinner. It's a short uber to the stadium, maybe 4-5 miles. free parking at hotel. I also book a room that can be canceled. I check airbnb the Monday/Tuesday of game and a lot of times you can find something cheaper and closer. I always come in Friday and go home Sunday.

I don’t think there’s much of a point in asking that because 1. It’s a loaded question to go through each group 2. You’ll get a PR trained answer that doesn’t tell anyone anything new.

The Texas staff brought in 2 pitchers on visits (and we got one of them). What does that tell you about how the staff feels about our pitching? He would have been a nice addition and he does have great upside but he wasn’t going to be a weekend starter at Texas.. He doesn’t strike me as a guy who’s not afraid of competition..

On C&F this morning @Gerry Hamilton said at SEC Media Days he'd ask Arch (something like) to compare this year's team by position group to last year's. Bobby was solidly against asking the question. I agree with Gerry bc 1. Someone will ask. Might as well be "friendly" media. A fully legit question. 2. If Arch handles it right, IMO, he'll go this route: "I can only compare this team, right now, to last year's team at the same time." Then compare by referring to wide receiver heslth last year; OL limited in experience; Simmons & Jackson more ecperienced; RBs LY had more UT exp than this year's group; however, this year's RB with better overall exp; a one year experienced QB1; etc.

Rocky has been a standout since he stepped foot on campus.

I think this partially explains why we didn't go all in on LB this cycle. We got a great investment with Atkinson and the other backers last cycle. Ty's looking like he wants that Shaun Alexander award this season. Not to mention how jacked Okpala looks. How is Rocky progressing?

No lie, I was wondering where he was at weight wise yesterday. I went to the Texas roster and saw 216. Thanks for the update. He seems a little lighter than Ant Hill was during his freshman season, but looks to be more shredded and quicker.

If Justus Terry ends up with 25-35 snaps per game, I would be over the moon. He would also be a 6-7 sack player.
