  1. Past hour
  2. So he’s good enough for Kirby Smart but not Adam?
  3. Who is this guy?
  4. Didn’t hurt Ohio State with Patricia. Also Muschamps defense seems less complicated than PKs
  5. It's a concern, but the reward outweighs the risk, IMO.
  6. Jeff, are you worried about how quickly it will take the team to adopt a new defense? We missed the playoffs by one loss this year. We can’t afford an early season misstep due to growing pains
  7. We'll see when the contract details come out, but the focus is on maximizing 2026.
  8. Bend but dont break D's suck. It allows your opponent to flip the field on you. Rather an attacking D any day.
  9. Personal injury lawyer posts football opinion on Twitter. Why is this a thread?
  10. He won't. Johnny Nansen will call the defense in the bowl game.
  11. Today
  12. He just needs to be faster than the dude chasing him
  13. I think nansen should've been the first to go, much before PK. (My opinion) If we retain him I think it would be a mistake. Just a lot of talk about he was just not good enough in recruiting and that the guys we got were because of NIL and/or because they just wanted to go to Texas. His process in recruiting was just not to the level it needs to be from a position coach at Texas. Having said that I definitely think he's the last coach on the defense that I would be sure remains, regardless of how I feel about his peformance.
  14. opinions are like personal injury lawyers...or something like that
  15. Yes Clarke is a full time position coach
  16. Muschamp has coached the safety position before and he played safety in college. Nansen will remain LB coach.
  17. @CJ Vogel is Clarke a full time position coach? (I.e. can be on the road for recruiting). What is his outlook? It seems like Clarke and Baker are the young stars on the staff
  18. A close second was the shoulder shot laid on Gunner what's his name by Mukuba. A minor miracle that he hung on to the football. And a sub-minor miracle that Georgia didn't have to turn to their QB 3. Hook 'Em!
  19. Does Coach Boom get a billboard?! Hook 'Em! PS...Is this Head Coach in waiting Part Deaux?!
  20. CJ-- I have no doubt and lots of faith in your future. I'm sure you will Choose Wisely (Indiana Jones reference)! Seriously, be as sure as you can be about your choice. Any little things you aren't comfortable with can get magnified over time, so consider that, but also realize there's probably never going to be a perfect match. In retrospect, I chose the wrong GF and got divorced after 21 years of marriage but I got a wonderful daughter out of it all. She graduated from UT with High Honors in 2017 and lives in Los Angeles and works for Riot games. Thanks for all your good work. You are appreciated and respected by the OTF audience. Hook 'Em!
  21. I think Nansen is gone with WM taking over the LB position and Jackson is gone cause we would've renewed his conract already if he was coming back. Would love to have Gideon come back for the safety position and I think he would regardless of the title he has at GT right now No idea who we're gonna get at WR but I think Sark already has his mind made up, based on how decisive these recent hires were.
  22. "Sipping codeine cause I gotta kill a cough"
  23. I would hardly call anyone an "elite dc" with the performance of the defense, and more precisely, the secondary, regressing week after week... Plus I think a lot of people are harping on the results of PK when the results aren't the reason he got fired. Sark wants a more aggressive defense in all aspects: from playcalling to the intensity on the field both in practice and in the game. He also wants someone that can take the keys of the defense and be the HC for that side of the ball and have a more NFL type of approach to playcalling the defense. From the comments that Sark made today it's clear that he wants to be more hands-off with the defense and not have to hold anyone's hand so he can focus on his side of the ball more. He also wants someone that creates stronger relationships with the players, both at Texas and in recruiting. I think it's an A+ hire, after giving it some thought, and I think he made this hire with all the right reasons in mind. Anyone that thinks that this was some sort of panic hire and not an all in move to squeeze everything out of the defensive side of the ball is mistaken. The disconnect that was apparent on defense was concerning and it only got better with PK adpating to a style of defense that he doesn't want to run and that is much more similar to what WM wants to do.
