  1. Past hour
  2. Man…I find myself feeling just as aghast as Brooks. Would love to be a fly on the wall during the offensive coach film watch. Arch either plays like a God or like he’s auditioning for the Little Giants. And it’s usually within the same drive. At least in the show..the good guys win. The same horrible mechanics seen against OSU last year to start the season rear their ugly head too too often. I think when Sark references the positives at practice not translating to the game is code for “Arch is fuggin’ it all up.”
  3. Absolutely not.
  4. Sark is loyal to a fault. A psychologist would say it has a lot to do with those who stood by him at his lowest point. While I admire the quality, why not just bring in some young badass special teams coach and keep Banks as your tight end coach exclusively?
  5. Or even better: instill some discipline. Special teams is boring. It is not fun. But it is where you truly separate yourself with discipline and which team truly cares about the small details of the game of football. Look at the Alabama dynasty. Look at the Georgia run under Kirby. Look at the Patriots dynasty. Those coaches cared deeply about the world of special teams. Texas has had moments – field goal blocks, punt returns, etc. But the list is far too long. That's a lack of discipline. You either coach it, or you allow it.
  6. Think Coach Erwin and Coach Ship said it best: Simplify it
  7. Isn’t it funny that all of Sark’s buddies (and sark himself) are the same areas where our team stinks?
  8. Would have appreciated Sark deflecting in a more respectful manner earlier today. Great stuff CJ.
  9. Sarkisian said he would not reassess his special teams coordinator following the loss to Oklahoma on Saturday. When asked if he would elaborate on that a bit further, this was the answer: "I think history is the best indicator of the future, and and we've been good on special teams for quite some time around here. You know, I have a lot of faith in Coach Banks and his schemes. And I have a lot of faith in our players to get that done. Sometimes you go through lulls like you do on offense or like you do on defense, and I don't question our ability to coach our way out of that – compete our way out of that to get back to the standard of which we play special teams."
  10. Well.. history is the best indicator. Or something like that
  11. Yeah but Sark said there was a track record. So we believe that and ignore all evidence to the contrary.
  12. Man at least get to a CFP. Vince? He lost one game in two years! He won the first national title in over thirty years! Colt would have one the national title but he got hurt. That’s just embarrassing. Comparing them is essentially saying he’s going to win one too. Good grief.

UTSA 2024 – Michael Taaffe holding on 10-yard Silas Bolden punt return On the season: Field goals were 16–25. Field goals from 40+ yards: 6–14. Punting: Ranked 103rd in the country at 40.78 average. I am sure there are plenty others that I missed.
  14. That’s a fair comparison but it doesn’t change what is showing up on tape at the current moment. He’s indecisive, struggling to process, inconsistent with accuracy, and is panicking in the pocket. Sark has to figure out how to get him more comfortable.
  15. I love Arch but he has disappointed this year. I won't give up on him because good Arch is pretty good. Plus realistically Sark won't bench him.
  16. Arch needs to go pro and hope he can back up a vet for a few years. There is no point in being in college another year.
  17. I would be a GA guy too the way their trenches play. Brooks likes physical teams, and frankly, our Offensive Line isn’t that physical, otherwise we wouldn’t struggle so much in short yardage.
  18. Mac Jones was a first round pick because of Sark. Those WRs thrived because of Sark. Sark broke school records at Alabama. Sark was the next man up for when Saban retired. Don’t let your current emotions cloud the truth. We can admit the offense is struggling badly but that doesn’t make him an outright bad coach. 5 Star QBs don’t always hit. Go look at the last 10 Elite 11 classes and see how many are NFL QBs and how many are busts. Ex: Jackson Arnold was a 5 who won the Elite 11 MVP and is at UNLV now. His 3rd School. Michigan QB was #1 overall player, he’s terrible rn. Dante Moore is struggling at Oregon (before injury). Some of you are unreal.
  19. He isn’t going to tell people publicly in the middle of the damn season what Arch is or isn’t doing at the line of scrimmage. Opponents listen to these press conferences. He isn’t going to throw his QB under the bus. It ain’t that serious.
  20. Today
  21. A lot sounds instinctual, which is not a good sign. Need to adjust the play calling or the roller coaster will continue. We really just need a bus-driving QB who can make the easy throws and has some athleticism.
  22. One of the best QB's at Texas that everyone praises (Colt McCoy) came from small school football. I believe Jim Ned was 2A at the time? Correct me if I'm wrong on that but there's tons of small school kids that do really well at the college level. To your point, one does not need to be at the top level of a state (6A in Texas) to be a great QB.
  23. Fun fact: My dad played against Troy Aikman in high school. Troy was a Henreyetta Hen and my dad was a Beggs demon!
  24. You say Arch is the issue. Arch is a reflection of his coaching and what he's being taught to do. Ewers had similar issues. It can't always be the players when things have remained the same. Sark and Milwee are at fault. Arch has to take part of the blame for his own actions but he isn't the main problem. Brooks is great at what he does but I saw the same routes and most of the time there isn't anyone to dump it to and if there is he misses it at times trying to make a play down field (something Sark wants btw).
  25. Brooks summed up the Arch roller coaster well in the video. One second he’s throwing NFL level balls. The next…he’s stepping up out of a clean pocket into pressure. Year 4 in the system. Year 2 starting. Excuses are running thin. Speaking of running, yeah the run game ain’t helping him out either. But it’s just all too inconsistent. And I hope this roller coaster smoothes out even just a bit, is making me nauseous.
  26. Damn… just realized Parker beat us 🙃🙃🙃
