I’m not even sure that factors in. @GQ03hit on timeline Me personally, Beckham is the better prospect. HS rankings are pro projections at the top … and I don’t think they are particularly close. Beckham is 3 inches (or more taller), stronger frame, longer arms, more vertically athletic … before you get into skill set Both are damn good players. I can see Daughtry being a better college player in the short time Black will be there. Daughtry is built for college basketball… Black is built for NBA. Daughtry in the NBA will be interesting… 5-11.5 without shoes. Tremendous player … but he will have to overcome in NBA. It will be interesting is Beckham gets closer to 6-5. Family believes he’s not done growing.

Next weekend vs SMU SMU beat TCU 101-98 in scrimmage Friday night. So the Stangs will already have one under their belt

He had a few bad apples last year that didn't give 100% on defense. They wanted to.just shoot and that's not his scheme. Vic coaches hard because that is what it takes to win. If Maddy wouldn't have gone cold against UCLA, we would have won the Chip.

Those traits show up fast when things get tight, and they usually separate a good roster from an actual team.

That kind of weekly production travels, 5A label or not. Defenses will start shading his way fast.

Great Stuff. Humility and coachability are up there as well. Athletes who put the team before personnel success.

Julien Caldwell out of argyle is pretty darn good. Avg 170 yards receiving a game albeit in 5a.

I'm standing on it's good.

These kids want to get paid number one, develop and go to the league number two, school/state/loyalty is down the list. Which ones do we provide is the answer to what he’ll do. We provide one for sure.

Looks like the ball goes above the upright, which is no good. Very close though it’s hard to see in some angles.

They didn't play head to head but Daughtry was unreal at Peach Jam while Black was good. In watching Black's last game, I believe he was pretty fatigued after playing heavy minutes for Team USA overseas and then immediately going straight to Peach Jam. Daughtry did that too I believe but had less of a workload/role for Team USA.

My kids both swam and placed in state meets in Oklahoma when we were so unfortunate to live there. Their workouts were intense. I ran 62 miles in 24 hours once but I could never do what they did.

Well that and when you're the top dog, you can do whatever you want and no one complains. That and as I pointed out in another thread, Sark's most productive WR's in his tenure have mainly been portal guys. He hasn't really utilized his HS WR's outside of Worthy and Wingo. Livingstone and Moore got some play but both transferred out.

To be fair, I have been really impressed with Northwestern. They've kinda surprised me so far this year lol.

That's a miss guys

Team playlist rules getting weirdly specific now, lol.

Talent can still steal a weekend, but without that closer mentality every tight set feels like a coin flip. Missing a regional at Gregory would be a brutal draw.

I remember thinking we would never win another game when Dakorien Moore committed to Oregon. I'm starting to think these high profile HS recruitments are all about leveraging NIL investments from boosters.

Looked like a miss to me. 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿

Honestly Sark hasn’t developed HS WRs at a consistent rate so I can see why he would consider it, but at the same time Royal is on a different level than those past recruits so I think he will succeed no matter the offensive system

If we use Florida hype logic, Northwestern is now the best team in the country. They didn't run for over 300 like Florida on Ole Miss; they ran for over 400 on Penn State. Unstoppable.

When they play us and we can put the clamps on Baugh, can Philo win them the game? They have some good WR's and he does run the offense well. But without the run game, would it be similar to Tenn? Maybe I have too much confidence in the D and Muschamp lol. As for Royal, good on him. You should be enjoying the recruiting process and take a ton of visits. You're basically paying me to come watch your games, get the VIP treatment, etc. Even if I'm coming on my own, I still get the VIP treatment lol. Good for him.
