Apparently the Hog fans aren’t very enthusiastic about the Ryan Silverfield era. -

Takeways ... 1. He knows he has a loaded roster, and they played really well with a raucous environment behind them. 2. LSU has been playing football a long time ... school record for first downs in a game. 3. He was real about it. And moving forward. The two weeks at the end of September will tell the story of where this this team is headed this season. At Ole Miss will be very difficult, then they have Texas A&M at home after. Texas A&M's OL better improve A LOT, and very quickly. If they win both, which are tough games... they will be 8-0 when Alabama comes to town with Texas after. -

I’m not crowing them. They will lose a game or two … but that was super impressive if we are all going to be honest If Texas had a new HC and game one with a total new roster put that level of performance on the field … the fan base would be crowning them. Same with USC fan base, or any other fan base. That was super impressive. My take away from LSU is they have just as much or more talent than Texas, Miami or USC based on watching those teams the last two days. And they have the best offensive scheme/play calling combo in CFB. It’s why Lane took LSU. And that environment was special last night. The SEC is going to beat each other up IMO. - Today

Harlem was hurt some of fall camp LSU is going with the power run game … Jones is definitely the fit for what they want to do based on the scheme last night -
My two biggest takeaways are that the OL seemed more athletic and better at the point of attack, and the defense was much more aggressive. The OL will only get better as they gel together, and get in “game shape”. Muschamp will be able to get more complex with his game plans as the defense grows, younger guys get more run, and everyone understands their assignments better. Overall, in a much better place to start the year than last year. Remember that UTEP gave us a hard time. Next week’s message is challenging their physicality to set a tone for the season, and can they overcome one of the big bad wolves in tOSU.

This is sad to me. A once proud program reduced to this. -
Tech’s schedulie is so easy not sure it matters. Clemson is a soft program with a terrible OL. Clemson has some great dl when we played them in playoffs and we ran the ball over them despite their nfl dl.

Someone held a pig calling contest a few blocks from the stadium and most of the crowd just up and left drawn inexplicably by the hog mating calls. -

whats your thoughts on Caden and Harlem getting 1 carry each all game? Thought they would be a bigger part of the O. -

Clemson, Michigan, and Tech are in trouble because they don't have a QB worth a crap. You can have all the talent in the world at WR but without a QB getting them the ball it doesn't matter. Same with aggy as well, their WR group should be really good, but they can only carry Reed so far. -

Their OL is trash and their QB is still really bad. ASU is going to give them all they can handle next weekend. That team has real skill position speed, a QB being coached up by a great coach, and a competent offensive scheme. -
It was a bad decision, but he threaded the needle to Wingo the play before for what should have been a TD. The sack on the same drive was also a really bad decision in what a great game for him overall. That was like a 20 yard loss in rushing yards, becase he easily had at least 10 yards if he had just ran the ball.

I’d hold off on trying to crown them after one game. -
Agree with you about the forced pass for the INT from Arch. Just not a smart play. But apart from that, felt like he did a great job. Run game kind of teetered off through out the game. Defensively, they gave up some plays but it looked worse than it was. There wasn't much to the D, they just kind of got physical and took it to Texas State. Expect Biles to be all over the field next week giving Ohio State O fits.

definitely need to see more with LSU but Lane has had a good to great O everywhere he has been. Lsu will get talent on campus on way or another. They state produces very good talent and Lsu recruits nationally, the states passion for Lsu is 2nd to none. Its impressive what they are doing week 1 to a bad Clemson team that will have a hard time making a bowl. -

What Dabo has done to Clemson is a joke. 2 of the best receivers in the ACC and he chose to trot out Christopher Vizzina at QB. Doesn't use the portal. Hires retread coordinators. Now Clemson finds themselves with a coach who won 2 national titles but has the program in the stone ages.
