  1. Past hour
  2. I think Wells was talking about the water because she forgot hers and Martinez didn’t. Nothing more to it than that.
  3. I saw this on The Athletic - "Texas spent a pretty penny — close to $3 million, we’re told — to bring in Cam Coleman from Auburn and to give quarterback Arch Manning one of the best receiver groups in the country." Question: If Cam is getting "close to $3 million" as an experienced productive transfer then what is a fair market valuation for freshmen recruits Easton Royal or Monshun Sales ? And could you justify paying both? (I'd assume they would warrant roughly equal NIL deals since they are ranked #1 and #2 WRs). Also, while I'm here, the same article asked "Is it [the Texas WR room] the best? One Power 4 personnel staffer sees some flaws." Flaws? Flaws? What are you talking about dude! Here's what the P4 "personnel staffer" had to say - (guessing he works for a jealous rival). "Coleman is their best receiver with a great catch radius, but I don’t think he’s a burner,” he said. “Ryan Wingo is your best athlete, but not a real good receiver. Emmett Mosley is your best overall receiver, but doesn’t have long speed. They all have flaws that can limit them if you have really good corners. Week 2 (versus Ohio State) will be the test.” Actually haven't seen anyone claim we had the "best" WRs, just that we had upgraded the position with Coleman, but whatever. Interesting take on our WR room. If they want to see "long speed" I hope we unleash Bishop on their sorry asses.
  4. Really happy for this team, I’m glad they’re up for the challenge unlike our embarrassing baseball team.
  5. I’ve been saying they’re a good team but not good enough to win it all, pitching and hitting is WAY too inconsistent. I 100 % agree with that and if they do wont be much further.
  6. I have season tickets and go to every home game. The UT baseball team is very good, but they are not elite. I think they have a chance to get to Omaha. But frankly, I have seen nothing about this team that tells me it’s the one that will go all the way. Too many holes in the hitting lineup, too much inconsistency out of the bullpen, and too much bad injury luck. Losing Jonah Williams right off the bat did not help. I’m hoping for the best, but I do not expect miracles. A trip to Omaha would be a step in the right direction.
  7. Absolutely and Super Regional if Texas wins Regional
  8. Thanks goodness we have a good softball program to distract us from our baseball blues
  9. So instead she throws a complete game. Going to need that stamina as we move forward .
  10. Today
  11. We’re sitting tied for 3rd in conference. That tells you something. We play the last place team at home next week. A&M scored 18 in game 1 today for the win but is knotted at 5 in game 2. There are wild swings. There are a small number of conference teams that have not been run ruled. Think we are one of those. College has a number of variables. Midweek you can play to win or prepare for post season. The only time your 4th starter comes into play in the postseason is a maxed out regional or if you hit the losers bracket. The depth of hitters is greater than ever. But that doesn’t mean teams have bench depth. In spite of what some feel, you don’t transfer to sit. Our overall record is around 6th best. Were as deep as just about anyone in pitching. That doesn’t mean it’s always on.
  12. Plus it was wet track after long lighting delay.
  13. I'm not a baseball fan, so excuse my ignorance. But from what I've followed a long this year, this team is wildly inconsistent lol. One minute they look great and the next they look like they can't do much of anything right. Not sure if that's normal in baseball, considering how many games you play and how long the season can be but just my uneducated observation. Hope they get it sorted and make a deep run.
  14. Embarrassing series. Not real competitive getting struck out 19 times last night and giving up 14 runs today. Ruger has to throw tomorrow.
  15. You mean sark doesn’t have you on speed dial?
  16. FINAL: Tennessee 14, Texas 9 It's just the second SEC series loss of the season for the Longhorns. Texas drops to 36-12 on the season, 15-10 in SEC play.
  17. Credit the Longhorns for making things worth paying attention to in the ninth. It's a three-run frame for Texas after Becerra's RBI double to right (Chapman couldn't come up with a diving catch). Two outs and A-Rod is up with Becerra on second in a five-run game, 14-9.
  18. I loved it when Bama fans started leaving the stadium with over 5 minutes left to play .
  19. Overreaction is the norm on this site specifically by baseball fans.
