  1. Past hour
  2. Nansen has been terrible all year for years. I never piss over recruiting. My posting history on the subject is well documented.
  3. All-Time Classic! CaddyShack
  4. It doesn’t matter who we are playing, I always want to win. But a victory against Texas Tech would be a little sweeter than a victory against Temple.
  5. Again, I get what you're saying because the game has changed. But we were able to settle for Siani instead of splurging for Seaton because we had a high school recruit Goosby. Who followed a high school recruit Kelvin.
  6. If I moved from Newport Beach to Lubbock … I would hit the portal too after a few months
  7. He hit 96mph from the mound in HS. https://www.perfectgame.org/Players/PlayerProfile.aspx?ID=403200
  8. Marcus Spears Jr out in LA working with Isaiah Johnson’s dad
  9. And the yearly summer whining begins
  10. Jordan seaton is the ceiling, Not the floor. We don’t need a 1st round pick every year out of the portal. Premium positions definitely need to be developed, But you’re naive if you think these five star kids will be patient if another schools offers them more money to come and start.
  11. Agree him and flood are big wink links
  12. Finney's father is a longtime HSFB coach in the St. Louis area who's now in the Houston area. They moved to Houston at some point in the last few years. Finney coached and call plays (he was OC) for Nick Townsend at Dekaney for a while and was at St. Pius X last year as their OC last year. I believe he left St. Pius X to take a job on the Willis staff this spring but I'm not 100% sure on that. Finney also does some training on the side and trained Ryan Wingo when he was coming up in St. Louis. Wingo has since trained in Houston with Finney. Trey was at Dekaney and played on varsity as a freshman during Nick Townsend's senior year. Trey then followed his father to St. Pius X where he played his sophomore year but is now at Willis after transferring up north this spring. Willis has arguably the best offensive mind in TXHSFB in Trent Miller and I can't wait to see what he does with Trey. He's undersized at 5-9, 165 but is a great player. It'll be interesting to see who emerges as contenders with all of his dad's longtime connections to college staffs all across the country.
  13. #fireflood @Joe Zura 🦆
  14. I hope we stay on him. Like you wrote, his athletic upside is tremendous. I hope the staff is not pinning its hopes for a 2 OT class on Camara. He is dragging out his process and it seems like another giant wallet whip from uncle Phil and Oregon is where it will end.
  15. Still waiting to hear confirmation the visit is off the books but as Bobby said I'd view it as doubtful the trip goes through.
  16. Love me some Carlton. One of the favorite recruitments I've ever covered. He always kept the main thing the main thing and is a great kid. He embodies the blue collar culture Temple is all about and is the first person in his family to ever attend college. He's unlikely to be the flashy player that Colin Simmons is or that Richard Wesley will likely be, but he provides consistent effort, is willing to do the dirty work, and has all the tools to eventually turn into a day one or two draft pick.
  17. I actually remember seeing that video, thanks for reposting it. I knew scheme wise he was going to get what he needed, I was just wondering who he was working out with and his progress in that area. But seeing that again definitely reminded me about his maturity.
  18. Nansen going to do what Nansen do. Muschano being here should help.
  19. I don't know how much it'd change the potential for 2026 but Jonah Williams having a big summer would be terrific and would vastly change the outlook for the future of the safety room. It would be huge if he can stay healthy through the entire season
  20. Today
  21. For those complaining about the NIL costs of Camara-like linemen who may not play for a while, take a look at the tackles in the 2023 class and where they were taken in Round 1 of the recent NFL draft, the earliest they could go pro. At least five of the top 13 were first round picks - Proctor, Mauigoa, Freeling, Fano and Lomu. Maybe a couple others were taken later or will be high picks next year. These are the Kelvin Banks type guys, a couple were three year starters and all were worth the NIL price. The trick of course is to get the right guys - the first four mentioned were in the top 7 rated OT coming out of high school but what happened to the other three? (Honestly I don't know, maybe they went later, maybe they'll go high next year or maybe they washed out ... just checked, two transferred down from LSU -> Kentucky and Penn State -> UNC-Charlotte, the third swung down to OG). The point is if you have an open spot ((I think we do with both OTs leaving after next year) AND the guy looks like an early contributor then go for it. But yeah, no guarantees. As for the "get 'em in the portal" argument, those guys are rare and extremely expensive. A lot of IOL we had our sights on stayed with their school or transferred elsewhere. And Seaton was not without baggage. In Flood we trust, right guys?
