Maybe Weaver? Certainly not both at this point.

I wouldn't say Texas is limiting NIL much in basketball with what they've done, but Pope and Weaver would command some big numbers. I just don't know if Texas could make that work with the guys they've signed out of the portal.

Does beach volleyball count? If so it looks like they are on a collision course with Stanford. -

Agree completely. Team 3 Huff: Thorpe Award, Unanimous AA DJ: Nagurski, Butkus, Big 12 DPOY Award, Unanimous AA VY: Maxwell, Davey OβBrien, Manning Award, Heisman Runner-Up, 2-time Rose Bowl MVP, Big 12 OPOY, Consensus AA Bijan: Doak Walker Award, Unanimous AA Mike Davis: Biletnikoff Watch List, UDFA, Practice Squad for Raiders, Argonauts, Alouettes -
About the OL: When Goosby and Cojoe both return, and considering the apparent rapid maturation of the prized freshman LT, is it possible that Jordan Coleman would be placed in a contest for the LG position? I am thinking ahead to 2027 when it is likely that both Turntine and JC will start on the OL. I think there are enough talented pieces to fashion a solid pass blocking offensive line, but melding them into a unit will be a challenge, as so many are either new to their position or to the program.

I liked Robertson against OU when he was an emergency fill in and I liked him last season as the bandaid that helped stop the bleeding. I still like him. But if the much larger Sikorski provides better interior pass protection without loss of leadership [not that I am claiming that as a fact] then he can start this season. I think summer will actually bring a contest for the position. However that competition resolves the depth will become much less of a concern.

Wtf is Mike Davis doing on here??? So many guys I would pick over him: Golden, Duvernay, LJ Humphrey, Sweed, McGarity, etc. That said #3 might still be the pick despite Mike Davis lol.

Yep, Kenny was in charge when these guys came in from JUCO and from Colorado. BC is doing great, promoted to Assistant Head Coach and still a key recruiter. -
NFL Draft Live Thread | Round 1

Some nerdy data on the first round - 7 picks were 5* recruits, 13 were 4*, 10 were 3*, Fernando was the only 2* and Iheanachor was unranked in high school (no football team). These are from the 247 Composite. Pretty common to see roughly a third-third-third break out of 5-4-3 stars going in the first round (of course there are usually 30 or so 5* compared to thousands of 4 and 3 star guys in each class). Seven 5* and also seven ranked 920 and lower. Mendoza was the lowest ranked recruit (ranked 2,535) and Jordon Tyson, the # 8 pick, ranked # 920 out of high school.
