  1. Past hour
  2. After yesterday's 7-4 loss to the Bulldogs, the Longhorns will go for the series win today at 1 p.m. The game is live on ESPN. If Texas wins and Auburn finishes a sweep of Texas A&M in College Station today, the Longhorns will be all alone in second place in the conference standings.
  3. Today
  4. If we do, it's just one more reason to have a low opinion of Tech.
  5. Swain should definitely go pro. He's up to 12-16 in the draft. Time for him to develop with the big boys. Texas will be fine.
  6. More like legit NC level contender Texas will have shot at the other thing mentioned this season because they are going to be better in every area as a team IMO but nothing guaranteed in the tournament
  7. Knowing Vegas they will post odds on win or lose the case. Knowing Sorsby, he will bet on it.
  8. I wrote about my personal experience with Kessler this morning. I don’t know if he’ll be able to do anything but I wouldn’t put it past him.
  9. I've been thinking about national comparisons for our less than upright opponents: Criminal Sooners=Soviet Union: Cheat, spy and steal like crazy. Aggies=France: Constantly chide and whine but ultimately depend on you for their security. Tech=Saudi Arabia: desert oil and nothing else.
  10. Criminal sooner Mateer should be out too. This is a matter much too serious to tolerate tomfoolery.
  11. I blatantly violated the eligibility rules of my league. So much so that I need professional help. But I’m still going to try to bully my league into letting me play.
  12. This is a no-brainer despite the moral relativism of Tech fans. You literally can't have legitimate sports if the players are permitted to gamble on their own team's games.
  13. (mostly) not because he's at Tech, I hope he loses the buyout lawsuit with Cincinnati and is forced to pay, cannot reach a settlement on suspension, and the NFL turns him down. There must be consequences in life to deter people from doing dumb things. And hiring Kessler is stupid. There is no antitrust agreement not to compete issue here like with capping athlete compensation. And even if there were, there is an obvious pro-competitive justification for the NCAA enforcing it's anti-gambling rules.
  14. He should be 100% punished and set an example for the rest of the players. Show some backbone. If he does get found guilty, what will Tech do at QB?
  15. The legal case for the NCAA is quite strong because it aligns with every other sports league or association. Further, the NFL will not simply allow Sorsby to enter the supplemental draft unquestioned. Player gambling issues is the worst thing that could happen to the NFL.
  16. His final 6 games he ran for 246 yards on 60 carries, 1 TD. Over that time, he had 16 catches for 65 yards. He had 92 yards on two carries during that time. Only 4 runs of 10+ yards during that span. That was against 3 very good to better defenses, 1 average defense, and one poor defense. No idea how those games played out, but you’ll likely find his floor in them.
  17. Society as a whole has lost the trait of being accountable for your actions. It’s always somebody else or something’s else’s fault that this happened to me.
  18. Reminds me of Art Schleiter (sp?) Ohio St qb who had series gambling issues. I think the NFL teams will have a hard time taking a guy who has potential gambling issues.
  19. I think you’re right. He won’t see this daylight or outrun people this often but he would have been rb1 last year for us. He may not go 60 but I’ll definitely take (5)-(15) yards vs the (-2)-(3) of last year.
  20. I am not trying to be overly critical, but I have never quite gotten the hype. He is explosive compared to his level of competition, but I’ve never seen him match the burst and top-end speed in a vacuum of a Jaydon Blue or even Raleek Brown. I hope I’m just missing something very obvious with him, and obviously the stats and accolades clearly might point to me being way off. It’s just my lying eyes, I guess.
