She does and she almost hit a home run yesterday. That would've made my year. I just want her to hit at least one home run before she graduates. -

Ashton has an absolute cannon -
LOL, SEC Guy absolutely owned those Portland stadium radio dudes. They tried to debate him straight, and he ran circles around them without ever breaking character. Total domination. That whole exchange is the perfect example of why the bit worked - he wasn’t just trolling, he was performing, and those guys never figured it out. Legendary stuff.

I see at least 4 first rounders (Colin, Arch, Coleman, Goosby). I can also see anther 2-3 Horns as “likely” day two draft picks - McDonald, Biles, and Wingo. What I don’t know (yet) is where the relative rankings of the next tier of Horn will project to a draft round - Hero Kanu, Bo Mascoe, Derek Williams, M.Siani, R.Brown. It’s just too soon to know how these guys will compare to the other players at their respective positions, (particularly without the Combine testing results). It’s all about relative ranking for these guys. As for the Day 3 Horn potential draftees, the list is almost endless: I.Geffard, H.Smothers, E.Mosley, M.Mousakis, R.Niblett. And this doesn’t even consider the possible earlier entrants if they have a breakout season in year 3: Zina U, M.Watson, A.January, K.Black, B.Baker, S.Shannon, etc. There’s a pretty decent chance the Horns will have 12-15 players drafted next April. Wow!

TK is getting touched up this year more than I remember last year -
I grew up hating Billy and liking Ketch. Experiencing both on X the roles are now reversed. And yes, he does make a fool of himself, but he does it with a certain amount of humility.

That was hilarious! 😂

Does anyone remember SEC Guy?

This is a blast from the past, but I remember listening to this a long time ago and it showed up on my feed. Btw, SEC Guy is Lance Zierlein. I remember he would call in when Chip Brown and Sean Adams (RIP) had a morning radio show.

As you indicated, there's a difference in sports recruitment and regular student population.

Really? My twin granddaughters are top students and not athletes and they are enjoying visiting colleges that have invited them to visit - on their mother's dime. If "ordinary" top students being wooed love visits enough to get family to pay for them why shouldn't great athletes enjoy the process even more - with all expenses paid, and steak dinners, and promises of lucrative employment. At one flagship university's business school in the midwest the granddaughter who wants desperately to go to McCombs but knows how competitive it is to get in was greeted with a giant TV screen in the lobby displaying a banner of personal welcome to her. That was great for her but athletes get an order of magnitude more attention. Would you deny your kid that satisfaction? I would be suspicious of the manipulations that kept a student - athlete from loving the one chance in life to visit major universities around the country that actually wanted him or her to play there so badly that they would spring for the visit.
