Leaving a NIL event at the Capitol Plaza McDonald’s for Kobe Black and Jelani McDonald where I was able to pick up an interesting nugget (not literally). A source says the move from cornerback to safety for Kobe Black has been great. Additionally, the source added Black has found quite the affinity towards the safety position. With it likely exceeding his time at cornerback. While still relatively new to the position, Black has already turned some heads since joining Blake Gideon’s room. Black told me at the event that he has added some weight to his frame, but that he believes he is in the best shape of his career at Texas. “I for sure added a little bit of weight,” Black said. “It was some good weight that I needed. But I feel more explosive, faster, stronger. But my body feels real good — better than ever.”

Do you guys feel Julian Sayin is that elite? I honestly didn’t watch him much beyond Texas game. Always felt he benefitted from the team around him and wasn’t asked to do much but admittedly small sample size. -
Who do we need to speak to at Texas to do this but with Corn Dog and Mayo to honor @Gerry Hamilton

Team Morocco 🇲🇦!

Me too. I like their striker who is such a bad ass. He would make a great tight end.

I think I will root for whomever plays against Argentina. I appreciate the brilliance of Messi, but the Argentinians think they are superior to every Latin American or African country out there. They think this in spite of a terrible economy.

Freeman should/better score more than that … Johnson would be more 15.5’ish IMO because he has really good players around him That’s 79 ppg from top 6 … say more like 76 and I could see it … Texas needs to be an 85.5’ish scoring team on low end, and 88.5/89 on high end. -

If I told you a year from now when we're looking back at Texas basketball's 2026-27 season that: Isaiah Johnson averaged 18 ppg Matas Vokietaitas averaged 16.5 ppg David Punch averaged 14.5 ppg Austin Goosby averaged 11 ppg Mikey Lewis averaged 10 ppg Elyjah Freeman averaged 9 ppg Would y'all believe that? -
It’s a good question, and he’s someone I consider strongly when making such a list. What puts the other guys over the edge is that you’ve got guys who simply accomplished more ahead of him. Bob McKay and Justin Blalock played on the two best offenses in school history, won national championships and were more decorated than guys like Davis, Mike Williams, Doug Dawson, etc. Jerry Sizemore was a two-time unanimous All-American. He’s a no-brainer. Banks is also a no-brainer. The most decorated offensive lineman in school history. I favor Dan Neil over Davis as the first man out.
