I'm saying Kobe was the best basketball player in the world during the NBA Finals in 2000. Watch the game four tape, CJ. Larry Bird said Kobe was the best player in the world in after the game. Bird has some credibility because he was the best player in the world from 1981-1984. He was 25 when he became the best.
-
Huh?
-
I'm thinking the only time the best football player in the world was a Texas Longhorn was Earl Campbell from 1979-1981. We need Arch to extend this.
-
You talkin one sweep against ten. Where does this crap come from? Lakers were swept by the Sixers in the 1983 NBA Finals. Lakers beat the Sixers in two out of three Finals in 80s. Lakers beat the Celtics in two out of three Finals in the 80s. One year doesn't erase fifty years. Saying that, Brick sucks.
-
Reminds me of Bobby warning Gerry not to go too far in saying Collin Simmons might be the best defensive player in "college" football. I mean hell. Arch better be the best damn player in college football in 2025 by a long shot. Arch should be the best football player in world by 2027. Arch is 21 now. Kobe was the best player in the world when he was 21.
-
How many best players in the world have the Lakers had? Wilt, Jerry West, Kareem, Magic, Shaq, Kobe. What are we talking about?
-
Kobe won five. Kobe was the best player in the world from 2001-2010. Mavs have never had the best player in the world.
-
Kobe also got swept by them Mavs and Dirk 10 years later 😉

There is a good level of autonomy with specific positions, even if it isn't the specific position that is coached by the coach offering. -

CJ, do position coaches need to get Sark’s sign off to offer or do they have a level of autonomy? -

I guess the Mavs are top notch. I mean we got Lakers, Warriors, Celtics, Spurs, Heat, Kobe, Steph, LeBrick, KD, Tatum and Jokic. I mean, Dirk ain't even pansy Jokic. Stop blowing smoke. Aggy gonna claim Manziel. He was more important than anything Mavs did. Furthermore, fat boy Luka gonna be the downfall of this Lakers team. This is Luka compared to NBA greats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZt7J0iaUD0

Forrest J. started following Cooper Flag a Mav?

Since 2006 the Mavs have gone to three NBA finals and won 1. Nothing Aggy has done comes anywhere close to that.

A&M’s Shemar Stewart holding out on Bengals
Oldest Horn replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
If this were any other team besides the Bengals I'd say Shemar is out of line. But it's the Bengals, they're always playing on the margins. -
For evidence. Kobe didn't average 38 a game in 2001. He averaged 38 a game against the Spurs (who were supposed to be the best defensive team in the league that year) in the regular season and playoffs in 2001. That what the Mavs ain't got.

Watched an interview with Ryan Day talk about the "myth" of The Natural. Therein he claimed that players don't "rise" to the occasion; rather they sink to the floor of their training when they're in the most stressful moments. He said Reggie Jackson hit homers every day, not just in the World Series. If that was true, Reggie would have 162 homers a year. That's Mr. Third Base for you. That's the Mavs.
