  1. Past hour
  2. Having a special assistant like Joe DeCamillis seemed to make the special teams unit pretty solid in 2023. I believe Texas hired a special assistant for special teams a few months ago so we’ll see if that helps the unit get back on track.
  3. Nobody but Arch is worth 4 million.
  4. Who is asking for 4 mil?
  5. My father was on an air craft carrier in the eastern Mediterranean then. They readied B1 nuclear jets for Israel and Russia. They kept yelling "First strike. We'll win," as they got ready.
  6. Asking for 4 million
  7. Billy L from Texags confirmed 🤣
  8. And we have a special guest ... it's a good one
  9. Who authorized a day off for Bobby? WTH? 😉
  10. So does this mean you will actually start on time @Blake Munroe???????????
  11. Today
  12. Good Friday. Closest The US ever came to nuclear war. 20 October 1973. I was one year old. Kissinger was in Moscow negotiating with the Soviets about the Yom Kippur War. Nixon was back in Washington dealing with Watergate. He gave Kissinger full presidential powers. General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev told Kissinger the Soviets were going send troops into Israel. Kissinger invented the statement ,"We'll blow you back to the stone age." Soviets were trying to play domestic troubles against Henry. Kissinger went back to his room and ordered Defcon 3, which meant nuclear weapons ready. Steel balls. Soviets backed down.
  13. I’d love to get Justin Tucker’s thoughts on this - he seemed to be at the forefront of the mental side of kicking.
  14. Your username reminds me of that guy who used to sell juicers on infomercials at 3am. Lol
  15. I think we were pretty decent on special teams in 2022 and 23. But last year was poor.
  16. Not to pile on, but do we think special teams has collectively gotten worse since Coach Sark's first year? I remember they used to actively get after Punter's and try different looks, etc. Plus, our recruiting at the K and P spots hasn't seemed all that great. Is there an issue there that needs to be addressed or am I making too big of a deal on that? Regardless of my complaints, wish this young man all the best, despite his struggles last year, we can't forget all the good he did and that he was a good Longhorn. Hope he finds the right spots for himself and to the person who said get a haircut, I disagree, the fro looks great.
  17. At the risk of being knocked again by Matthew, reminds me of Henry Kissinger telling his staff in an October 1976 classified meeting about the death Mao that it didn't matter who won the election or what the Soviets and Chinese did, there was no way they could generate the wealth to compete with US in the long run.
  18. Another site that we all know (IT) let it slip on a live podcast that the kicker from down the road in San Marcus is going to sign with Texas.
  19. Hopefully he has good lawyers and he's confident about his chances. There are quite a few jacklegs out there, both as prosecutors and defense attorneys. Judges too. Take this House case. No chance the NIL third party "fair value" part withstands judicial scrutiny. There's no precedent for "fair value" in history. The market is by definition "fair value." Given it's northern California, I guess it's understandable the judge doesn't quite get that. Can't withstand the Fifth Circuit, to say nothing of the Supreme Court.
  20. Johnny Gill singing background on the left.
  21. I honestly believe Nico and those around him felt the SEC conference is too hard. That perhaps with the same effort at a different conference, Nico would have an easier time and still make the CFB playoffs…
  22. Hoping Rod B. Talks about Auburn going to the portal and the “yips” he had towards the end of the season. What kind of mental fortitude you need when you’re the lead kicker for Texas. Did Auburn know he was losing his job before going to the portal??
  23. Rod B is probably observed that Auburn had the “Yips” towards the end of last season and probably could not mentally overcome it in time when it really mattered (ie the SEC championship game against Georgia). Very tough situation. I can only imagine the pressure and scrutiny he would have faced next season with all the hype and media attention focused on Texas next season. To top it off, he was competing for his job against Will Stone—and perhaps decided it was better to move on rather than sit on the bench after years being the starter at Texas. I wish him the best. Hook’em
  24. Been a long time since college baseball was this much fun. Hook em Horns!! 🧡🐂🤘🏼
  25. "Texas A&M looks really good all of the sudden. Say what you want, but that series is going to be a tough one." Dang Aggies.
