Just to clarify ... He hyperextended his knee when attempting to make contact. It was during the contact part of the play, but non-contact injury right before the contact would have occurred. He was arms extended.

That is encouraging. Usually ligament damage feels 10x worse the next day. Let’s continue to hope for the best

I hyperextended my knee in basketball and I limped badly for the rest of the day and night, but by a few days I was as good as new. I'm not saying he gets that lucky, but the talk of hyperextension is hopeful.
