I'm nostalgic for getting to know players over multiple seasons, but with the number of games in a baseball season, its been pretty easy to get invested in "new" guys. Pretty wild to see not only the portal additions but freshman impact on this team.

Yesterday Brody Wall came through when Thomas Burns struggled and today it was the other way around. That’s resilience. Middle relief has been inconsistent all year, but this team does have resilience. I was at the game tonight. It was a bit excruciating and a roller coaster. But oh so satisfying. Hook’em!

Cozart: "Winning that doesn't make us memorable here. Winning a Super Regional doesn't make you memorable at Texas. Winning a national championship does."

"To be honest, I kind of blacked out after that last out," Rodriguez said when asked if he knew Texas only dogpiles in Omaha.

Rodriguez: "It's always been a dream of mine to go to Omaha. I can't wait to get there and compete."

Schloss: "We're going to enjoy this. This is hard."

Schloss: "That sign outside the door says 38 trips to Omaha. It's said 38 for a long time, so it feels good to put a different number up there."

Clozart just left UZero no chance. Credit to the Ducks they waited through the Texas celebration and the playing of the Eyes to shake hands!! Play the game right and respecting your opponent in defeat is representing oneself well. TTU take notes!!

Schloss said they went with Brody Walls because he liked the way he's been trending and felt the moment wouldn't be too big for him. He credited Thomas Burns with minimizing the damage in his brief appearance.

"Ruger was outstanding," Schloss said.

Cozart oozes psychotic energy. I’m here for it.

Schloss said he had to be mindful of what Texas would do tomorrow if it had to play a game. Still, he never lost confidence that his team would come through.

Cozart said he didn't look at tonight like he was bouncing back from the regional. He said he doesn't even remember his last outing.

Schloss said he would've brought Cozart into the game if the game had been tied. "We have supreme confidence in Sam," he said.

What a game. That was awesome.

Schloss: "You see these Super Regionals — it's never over until the absolute last pitch."

Schloss opens his portion of the press conference by recognizing Scott Wilson and Augie Garrido. Those are the first two people he thought of when the game ended.

Volantis and Cozart have REALLY spoiled us when it comes to freshman pitchers these last two years. Insane how good both those guys were immediately. Can’t wait to see what we can do in Omaha!
