  1. Past hour
  2. Honestly considered that based off full football career. Was just too good in college
  3. Asked AI to remove the worst QB in the group. Reasoning: Even restricting it strictly to college performance, Tebow is the weakest link in this Murderers’ Row of QBs. Here’s the quick college-only breakdown: Vince Young (Texas): Rose Bowl hero, led Texas to the 2005 national title, absurd dual-threat production, one of the most electric single seasons ever. Cam Newton (Auburn): 2010 Heisman + national champion, ridiculous efficiency + rushing dominance (nearly 1,500 rush yards), carried Auburn in a way few have. Baker Mayfield (Oklahoma): Multiple Big 12 titles, Heisman winner, absurd volume + efficiency over multiple years, one of the best pure college careers statistically. Joe Burrow (LSU): 2019 was arguably the greatest single season by a college QB ever (5,600+ pass yards, 60 TDs, national title, Heisman). Instant legend. Tim Tebow (Florida): Incredible leader, two national titles, Heisman winner, tough as nails… but as a pure passer he was the clear step below the rest. Lower efficiency, more game-manager/run-heavy style compared to the elite arm talent and production of the other four. Tebow’s intangibles and winning were unmatched, but if we’re judging QB play in college (accuracy, arm strength, decision-making, passing production), he’s the odd man out against these four monsters.
  4. I could probably be convinced it's Tebow and not Baker.
  5. I really hope we make a run at Snell.
  6. Agreed. Baker for sure

  8. No. 6 imo if we're just going college.
  9. Played 8 years. He will receive a decent NFL pension.
  10. Today
  11. Really good interview.
  12. This thread needs to be pinned during the heat of the season
  13. Hank, Great topic. My most impactful game was one where I was actually at another university - yes, college station 🫤. 1974. It was bitterly cold, blustery day at Memorial - the Goodyear blimp was roaring above, fighting the norther that had blown in. In a matter of minutes the #8 aggy squad furkcoastered to a 17-0 deficit, thanks to 3 fumbles. Then this freshman kid from Tyler ran all over them, finishing a 32-3 shellacking by the Longhorns. I was at the 40 acres the following year at the College of Pharmacy. Never looked back.🤘
  14. I believe he’s still in the Texas City area, my daughter goes to school with his daughter. I know him and D’Onta own a trucking company they started with there dad so possibly something to do with that.
  15. You’re either with us or against us. Personally, I don’t care one way or the other once they leave Texas. The current Texas roster is full of opportunities to write about. 🤘🏻
  16. Do y’all know where Armanti now?
  17. The Big 12 and its carnival barker commissioner is a cute little minor league. B
  18. I think people took some of his mistakes and just ran with it. He was a shining light in a tough period for Texas football.
  19. The most underappreciated 2k yd rusher in history. Wish him nothing by good things.
  20. Foreman twins were crazy recruiting story. Armanti is super hyped recruiting battle with OU and then becomes a decent but generally forgettable player at this level. D'Onta was supposed to be the bench warmer that was only offered because of his brother, but then the second he stepped on the field as a true freshman it was "wait a minute now this dude is a beast out there" and next thing you know he runs for 2k yards and heads off early to the NFL. Can anyone think of any other examples of brothers that went down like that?
  21. I am pretty sure I was at that game. If I remember correctly, Rice arm side DE got the edge, popped Vince in the chest, VY slapped his head into the dirt after taking 2 steps back and took off for Positive yardage. But sometimes I mix my VY folklore.
  22. @BayAreaLonghorn, thanks for posting. Hook em
  23. Unbelievable. It was clearly a strike.
