NCAA hasn’t been anything for awhile but it’s gone Judges nowadays have more power than everyone except God……which is observed. Our justice system is way way off. -

For some reason, here in America especially, folks think that they can simply 'order' ANYTHING - a great coach, loyal players, good health, etc. It's an odd phenomenon. I trust our system, and love the haul that we had. If you build it, they will come - right? -
I still think there is a possibility of a surprise. Call me a naive optimist but I don’t think we are done. If we are done in the portal, it’s also possible that cojoe and Chatman return from injuries to contribute more than expected.

The tea leaves sure seem like the portal options have closed, so try it without the *Portal starter and that’s where I start to wonder how this interior OL holds up in the SEC trenches. We have sorely been needing angry people movers at guard. -

This would be a reasonable take if every option was over and this was the final roster. That’s the frustrating part of the negative ned’s here. Texas was rejected bgh. Instead of grabbing bodies, they’re playing the long game before grabbing equivalents to those you mentioned or they really do like who’s already here. Y’all are mad, unreasonably imo, that we didn’t get the cam of guards. The really frustrating part is negative folks have marathon stamina and just keep repeating their feelings, not facts. The worst part is they get upset when others don’t participate in negativity. Why? In general, negative people will always find the problem in anything and bullhorn about it. There is no solution to it because everything in life has something to point to if one chooses to see it. It’s so important in life to be intentional with whom you associate. Negativity is an emotional forest fire and if allowed in, it’s so easy to find kinder. The opposite side, while much smaller, is also frustrating in that nothing is ever wrong and blind trust anchors their lenses. The result? A site of opposing views that gums up the board by confusing louder and quantity with influence and perspective. Very little nuance or football centric discussion, just check out my feelings that things aren’t going how I wanted which somehow turns into something they were promised or guaranteed. We were told one thing. Texas would be all in much differently than the past. This has played out unequivocally true. Throwing in more expensive hats doesn’t mean you’ll win. Hell, y’all are most mad about folks that didn’t even enter the portal. Now you’re mad about failing plan b when it hasn’t finished yet. See? Always something to find fault in. This isn’t a chat room. It’s a site to discuss things On Texas Football. It’s becoming a site with how people irrationally feel about not getting what they wanted or expected. - Today

Let's be honest most here don't know much about offensive lineman. Whenever there's a breakdown they assume that a lineman got beat. Just recently, I watched the Miss State game and from the looks of it, early on the line was having a rough go at it. In reality, whenever a back stays in to block his responsibility is to take the most dangerous man from the inside out. That wasn't happening and there was nowhere to step up and out for Arch. Fans do the same thing whenever it looks like a QB throws to the wrong spot. There's so many things happening on any given play and the only thing we have witness to is the result. As for discipline, as a leader or head coach, you're either teaching it or allowing it. Most of us here played sports and had that one coach we didn't want to piss off. Like this team Sark needs to be tougher.

I’m not sure those guys are better than the ones we have that we haven’t seen. -
Exactly and the crazy thing is Baker also didn't play LT in HS at Mater Dei. They kept him at RT and put a natural guard at the next level (guy that committed to Auburn over us who I can't remember the name of currently) at LT instead.

Speaking of penalties, I don't know if it was DKR, FA, DMcW, JM, or MB, but I remember a coach bringing in paid college or HS refs to take part in practice, and call out penalties when they spotted them. I think I remember the coach said it disrupted things, but the discipline improved from all the teaching moments. It seems like this might be beneficial for Sark and company who don't seem to have a handle on how to fix the problem. And yes, I'm old enough to remember DKRs program. I actually got to interview DKR a couple of times for my Dad's newsletter. Hook'em -
This is my issue and what I feel like the OTF staff is not quite getting. I love the otf family and they're not the staff so the blame is not on them but folks aren't upset about Texas identifying the Michigan guys and making strong offers that were turned down. We get that it wasn't realistic to expect perfection but what's annoying is the team not acknowledging how badly the staff pivoted (or failed to pivot) afterwards. A guy like Tellek Lockette was seemingly just sitting in the portal for weeks from right down the road at Texas St and it seemed Texas kept playing around with the idea of bringing him on campus to visit but then would decide last minute to not. There's also All-American guard Laurence Seymore out of Western Kentucky who doesn't seem like we've shown any interest maybe because he's only 6'2 and isn't a big enough human. If Texas pivoted and waved those two in and we had an oline portal class of Siani, Seymore, Lockett, Sikorski & Newman then I think most people would feel like the needs were addressed. Sure, they aren't all grand slams or even homeruns but sometimes even just singles & doubles with a sacrifice bunt can get the job done. That's where Sark has failed and the otf staff not acknowledging that is where I think some of the frustration with them lies.

Tennessee is a beautiful State. My mom lived and worked in Franklin for a while, and we vacationed up there. I've driven through Knoxville and around Neyland, but I've never been to a game there. All who are fortunate enough to go will have a blast, especially if we play well and win.

@CJ Vogel How about a guest appearance on Monday's Coffee & Football by your favorite Coffee & Football sponsor - 😁!!! I am available on Monday mornings!!!! You know, get a little "pure fan" take on the game!! Seriously, OTF is killing it across the board. Proud to be a partner with y'all!! I get most of my intake from the YouTube shows, but then do I jump on here to look for some more hot off the press info, especially during recruiting windows and now with the portal. Candidly, with regard to this online site, if there was a technology feature that allowed us to go to a thread and just have it auto-jump as we click to the next Mod response within that thread, that would be really awesome for when we are in a hurry but still want to see what you all share in responses. Who knows, maybe that tech is already here, or right around the corner. Hook'em from Longhorn Wealth!! -
