  2. NBADraft.net ... 3 1st rounders for the Horns https://www.nbadraft.net/nba-mock-drafts/?year-mock=2028 Other 2027 mocks have Matas and Elyjah Freeman as second rounders https://www.nbadraft.net/nba-mock-drafts/?year-mock=2027 Goosby shows up in some 1st's in 2027 and 2028
  3. Another selling point for Texas to Royal.
  4. It has nothing to with their salaries. It had to do with 4 coaches that expect to have their bloated NIL agreements honored and not having the money to do it. They believed that 1 and likely 2 of those coaches weren't going to be fully funded and they were guessing it would be the basketball coaches.
  5. ....remember when we couldn't field a second unit? We have an embarrassment of riches. I know we worry about left guard. I think we will figure it out.

  6. If this is how things are or heading that way, the whole system needs to be redone. Because I'm all for players being paid but if it's costing this much, it needs to be revised big time.
  7. As a late addition, I'm not sure Worthy was even on my radar in 2021. JT Sanders was the 5 star and was the most anticipated.

  9. It seems like they've enticed donors who are interested in a return (which you don't get with NIL) to back an advance to the school. The school is counting on a big enough increase in media rights five years from now to pay back the investors. The problem as I see it is that they are paying out from a boost in rights later that they will not be able to put into the program. For you old Popeye cartoon fans, this is Wimpy agreeing to pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today. It's possible that they could keep this going, but there is a chance of a reckoning long after the people who put this into place are gone.
  10. Kiffin is at 40-50 million , Wade is most likely 20+ , Jay Johnson is 6.5-8 somewhere. Just on those 3 is 66 and the low end and 80+ on the high end. With only 20.5 per year for rev share. Thats 40-60 million to push through the CSC. LSU holds weight but I highly doubt they can push that much through. So either A. Some players are not going to get paid what they’re owed or B. they are skirting the rules HEAVILY
  11. Moscona is a clown. All he does is tote the water for lsu.
  12. I wish nothing but bad luck to LSU and a shiny new belt to ass for them once Texas comes to Baton Rouge
  13. Every day that Royal stays with us drives the LSU Swampers crazy. All their so called Insiders said he wouldn't take his OV here. Mom had to make him haha. Then flipping on his Birthday etc. Now it's will will get him by December lol . I love seeing them squirm. Seems their Brewster momentum is gone as well. I'm not naive, they will hound Royal forever. And he could flip of course. The pressure will only get crazier. But so far so good.👍
  14. They've recruited him hard as well. Could make a late push.
  15. My top 25 preseason list right now ... with understanding things could change if the 2022's get eligible: 1. Florida 2. Duke 3. Illinois - David Mirkovic has to come back from broken foot/surgery July 31 4. St. John's - if they get Dillon Mitchell back. 5. Michigan State 6. UConn 7. Texas 8. Arizona 9. Tennessee 10. Arkansas 11. Louisville 12. USC - big man just got injured, but young depth is quality 13. Michigan 14. Virginia 15. Miami 16. Vanderbilt 17. Alabama 18. Missouri 19. Houston 20. Gonzaga - was top 10'ish level before the PG porked Few 21. Kentucky 22. UCLA 23. Kansas 24. Iowa State 25. North Carolina Just missed: Indiana Villanova Nebraska Purdue Arizona State
  16. Learning how to draw fouls without flopping on every shot?
  17. Pope definitely undervalued as a floor spacer. Agree 100% ... BTW Texas A&M trying to get Jordan Pope (They may not get Bryson Warren eligible). He was a floor spacing initiator for sure! Not going to get in paint and create rotations Let's see Johnson play this year. I actually think Johnson will be a better pro long term. He's two inches taller, longer arms and has all the same three level ability.
  18. OKC Head coach and staff member's were in attendance today.
  19. Yesterday
  20. That was the Texas team's first practice in Moody Center all summer. All the transfers and freshman first time shooting and working out in Moody
  21. As described above, if he does not step it up he might be first string portal.
  22. One thing I always say to keep in mind on 3-point shooting ... The last five National Champions shot between 36.5% and 35.3% from 3 for the season. No great shooting teams since Baylor from 3. Texas was 35.5% last year
  23. I really liked Pope and his ability to hit some big three's but he was so limited breaking down a defense without a ball screen. Is Augustine too high of a comp for Johnson?
  24. Who couldn’t see this coming
  25. It's on par with 3-4 others. My goal this season is to be a top 2 seed. If you are on the 2/3 seed line, and are 3 ... okay too. It's damn hard to get to a Final Four, so I don't go there. Get me to that seed line area mentioned, and see what happens. If you had me list teams right now (still have to wait to see what happens with 2022's), I think there are a lot of really good teams and Texas is on the list: Florida, Duke and Illinois - should be No. 1 seeds if healthy UConn, Michigan State, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, St. John's, Louisville and USC likely my next group. Virginia, Michigan, Alabama, Miami, Vanderbilt, Missouri the 3rd group.
