  1. Past hour
  2. I’ve been saying they’re a good team but not good enough to win it all, pitching and hitting is WAY too inconsistent. I 100 % agree with that and if they do wont be much further.
  3. I have season tickets and go to every home game. The UT baseball team is very good, but they are not elite. I think they have a chance to get to Omaha. But frankly, I have seen nothing about this team that tells me it’s the one that will go all the way. Too many holes in the hitting lineup, too much inconsistency out of the bullpen, and too much bad injury luck. Losing Jonah Williams right off the bat did not help. I’m hoping for the best, but I do not expect miracles. A trip to Omaha would be a step in the right direction.
  4. Absolutely and Super Regional if Texas wins Regional
  5. Thanks goodness we have a good softball program to distract us from our baseball blues
  6. So instead she throws a complete game. Going to need that stamina as we move forward .
  7. We’re sitting tied for 3rd in conference. That tells you something. We play the last place team at home next week. A&M scored 18 in game 1 today for the win but is knotted at 5 in game 2. There are wild swings. There are a small number of conference teams that have not been run ruled. Think we are one of those. College has a number of variables. Midweek you can play to win or prepare for post season. The only time your 4th starter comes into play in the postseason is a maxed out regional or if you hit the losers bracket. The depth of hitters is greater than ever. But that doesn’t mean teams have bench depth. In spite of what some feel, you don’t transfer to sit. Our overall record is around 6th best. Were as deep as just about anyone in pitching. That doesn’t mean it’s always on.
  8. Plus it was wet track after long lighting delay.
  9. Today
  10. I'm not a baseball fan, so excuse my ignorance. But from what I've followed a long this year, this team is wildly inconsistent lol. One minute they look great and the next they look like they can't do much of anything right. Not sure if that's normal in baseball, considering how many games you play and how long the season can be but just my uneducated observation. Hope they get it sorted and make a deep run.
  11. Embarrassing series. Not real competitive getting struck out 19 times last night and giving up 14 runs today. Ruger has to throw tomorrow.
  12. You mean sark doesn’t have you on speed dial?
  13. FINAL: Tennessee 14, Texas 9 It's just the second SEC series loss of the season for the Longhorns. Texas drops to 36-12 on the season, 15-10 in SEC play.
  14. Credit the Longhorns for making things worth paying attention to in the ninth. It's a three-run frame for Texas after Becerra's RBI double to right (Chapman couldn't come up with a diving catch). Two outs and A-Rod is up with Becerra on second in a five-run game, 14-9.
  15. I loved it when Bama fans started leaving the stadium with over 5 minutes left to play .
  16. Overreaction is the norm on this site specifically by baseball fans.
  17. Just checking in on all the experts who said Teagan Kavan “wouldn’t pitch today”… Because unless my TV was lying, she didn’t just pitch - she ran the entire SEC Championship, shut down Alabama, and walked off with the trophy like it was a group project she had to finish herself. All that pregame certainty about her “maybe coming in for relief” aged about as well as warm milk. Turns out the only thing needing relief today was Alabama’s dugout. But hey, the confidence was elite. The accuracy? Not so much. Even our own mod(not you Jeff) took the L on this one.
  18. A two-run bomb allowed by Michael Winter. That's the sixth home run of the game for Tennessee.
