Man he calls other hypocrites. This guy is so full of himself. He’s the biggest hypocrite with his bill to save college sports when he’s really just trying to save Tx Tech. Then he supports a lawsuit to allow his qb to bet that could have brought down the entire collegiate sports world. What a f’ing hypocrite.

Unofficial visits will begin for Texas shortly. The 6-4 scoring guard Justin Wise I've mentioned in this thread is scheduled to be on campus next week. In terms of 2027's making decisions ... the September-late October OV's will be the whole deal for the majority of prospects the level Texas will be after. Beckham Black is the top PG target in the cycle, Reese Alston is No. 2. I don't recall even mentioning A&M and Reese. They weren't ever going to be a factor. He's a blue blood'ish recruitment. -

Has there been any movement in regards to basketball freshman recruiting? I dont really know the timeline for this stuff compared to football. Ik we're probably very involved with Spears Jr, Beckham Black, and Reese Alston. Alston recently mentioned in an On3 article a top 5 schools hes been talking to, including Louisville, Purdue, Texas, Kentucky, and U of H, but nothing really of note for Texas. I thought i mightve heard Gerry mention that a&m would be a player for Alston, but I could be misremembering. When does basketball recruiting begin to heat up? Thanks -
So the agent knew but never tried to him help.

Because he calls the shots. At this point, Campbell has more power and say than the university President, athletic director, and head football coach combined. Tech is a burgeoning football program cause Cody is pumping tons of money into the program, not because Joey is an elite college coach or because the AD is a great leader.

Tech doesn't have other donors like him to tell him to kick rocks. Thank God texas has enough donors to hold the crazy ones at bay...most of the time.

As long has Daddy Warbucks bankrolls Techs NIL, he'll sit as chairman on their board.

I bet all kinds of stuff gets thrown out there now that they aren’t trying to “save his college career” or save face anymore.

Caleb Siler commits to Northwestern
Jordan Scruggs replied to Jordan Scruggs's topic in On Texas Football Forum
The difference in Texas' offer and Northwestern's offer was over half a million dollars and Northwestern's offer nearly doubled Texas'. So taxes were never gonna make a real difference. I get what you're saying about Texas not being his dream school after all, but this is modern recruiting in a nutshell. If Siler was in the 2022 class or any class before it, there's no doubt in my mind he would've ended up at Texas - Today

The Protect College Sports Act isn't so much about better governance as it is about limiting the schools that drive college athletics while protecting programs that have struggled to keep up. It's less about fairness and more about redistributing influence, wealth and leverage within the sport. That's one reason Cody Campbell has become one of its most vocal champions.

Plus, it seems like White has Glasco's number. Talent is about even for both teams, White just has a better feel for the game than Glasco does. I'm more curious to see how Gasso bounces back at OU after two seasons of NCAA tournament regression.
