  2. I watched highlights clip today, interestingly, Mowins said Canady was listed as the starter, but then when they had Terry pitch first, that counted as a substitution, normally not an issue for them, but when they brought in the third pitcher, Canady was subbed out of the game and then couldn't come back in.
  3. Has it been reliable anywhere ever? intel on the Aggie exodus was way off
  4. Here's the press release Texas sent out today: Former Texas Football standout Corby Robertson has been selected as part of the 2026 Southwest Conference Hall of Fame Class, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame announced Wednesday. A native of Houston, Robertson played defensive end and linebacker for Texas from 1966 to 1968, earning All-SWC honors as a defensive end in 1966, and first-team All-America recognition at linebacker in 1967. He served as team co-captain in 1968 when Texas shared the SWC Championship and was recognized with the team sportsmanship award that same year. Over Robertson’s career, UT compiled a 22-9-1 record. That included a 9-1-1 mark in 1968 in a season in which the Longhorns closed on a nine-game winning streak. That was capped by a victory over No. 8 Tennessee in the 1969 Cotton Bowl Classic and a No. 3 final ranking by the Associated Press. Robertson was also a GTE Academic All-American in 1967 and 1968 and received an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship to complete his business degrees. A Board Member of the National Football Foundation, he has spearheaded a number of postgraduate scholarships through that that organization over the years. Following his athletic career, Robertson achieved significant success as an energy sector executive and prominent philanthropist, directing millions in funding toward Texas higher education. He has served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the board of Directors of GP Natural Resource Partners LLC since 2002. Inducted into the Texas Athletics Hall of Honor in 1993, he remains one of the most respected examples of leadership and student-athlete excellence in University of Texas history. He was inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame in 2006. The Southwest Conference Hall of Fame honors legendary athletes, administrators and contributors whose accomplishments helped define one of the most iconic eras in collegiate athletics history. The Induction Ceremony and Luncheon will take place Tuesday, August 4, at 11:30 a.m. at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in Waco.
  5. What year do you consider the end of vintage age cards? I think it's anything up to '80 because Donruss and Fleer started producing baseball cards that year and led into the junk wax era. The Rickey Henderson rookie, to me, is the last great vintage baseball card.
  6. Crazy how much muscle Torre has packed on Arch since he's been on campus!
  7. It's good to have the memories, but, yeah... That's tough!
  8. Nakos's baseball portal intel on Texas last year wasn't very reliable.
  9. She's a stud and I think left handed as well.
  10. Isn't Texas set at SS with both Rodriguez and the guy from Tech who is going to play 3rd?
  11. Yes, Bino Watters favored to GA Tech as of now. Texas in on Cal Baptist shortstop Chris Ramirez as well as LSU, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
  12. 4.65-second 40-yard dash and 4.45-second shuttle run. https://www.hudl.com/profile/19349836/Neimann-Lawrence
  13. Only player it mentions Texas being in on is Cal Baptist Shortstop Chris Ramirez along with Tenn, Kentucky and LSU. Also, Georgia Tech is well positioned for Bino Watters but to keep an eye on LSU.
  14. He needs to focus on baseball and forget football.
  15. Anyone have this?
  16. How much NIL money spent on Jonah Williams is dead money? I think this upcoming season will be his last football season.
  17. Today
  18. I personally don’t ever think he’ll bust a grape on a football field. Somebody in that kids camp needs to get him to focus on baseball.
  19. Jonah is special talent---lets hope we get to see him healthy and being his best
  20. He is not cleared for contact. He is on schedule to return by late July-early August.
  21. I honestly never had much hope for Jonah Williams. There is too much talent on this roster for any two sport star not named Bo Jackson. Part time football in the SEC is almost impossible- especially on a team that might play up to 17 games. If I were Jonah's Daddy, I would tell him to concentrate on baseball and pray for a 20 year MLB career.
  22. This is the pitcher Texas needs. She graduated from Round Rock High School and beat both Tech and A&M.
  23. Agree and I want Maddy Azua, Texas State Pitcher.
  24. My brother had this card but he use to play baseball on the floor with the cards and basically mutilated the card. Same brother that played with a signed Ted Williams hall of fame glove in little league until signature wore off.
