changing demographics have killed a lot of good TXHSFB programs in Texas. Aldine, Irving, Permian, etc. But I think another big part is how concentrated the talent is now in areas like DFW, Houston, etc. I look at teams like North Crowley that are just loaded at every position and other programs, too. None of the West Texas teams really stand a chance against those teams anymore. A few years back we'd run into North Crowley in the 2nd round, they'd dog walk us. Before that it was Arlington Martin (when they were still good), they'd dog walk us and then before that it was SLC and Euless Trinity and you can imagine what happened there lol. I also think because of the massive growth in Texas, there's way more schools and it spreads more of the talent out.

They haven't made the playoffs in a long time, and they've gotten drummed by both their rival Crosby at home, and Angleton on the road so far this season. The Crosby team that beat them at home by a lot last week got drummed tonight by Barbers Hill.

My high school, Baytown Sterling, seems to have a decent team this year. Where I live, Dayton, Texas, used to have great teams but bad coaching and a changing demographics have killed them. They are really bad.
