The reps the young LBs will get over the next few weeks will pay dividends during the actual season imo. Obviously not ideal for it to happen the way it has, but this could be a blessing in disguise for creating more depth in that room. It seems to have paid off for Lacey and Bell to have as many reps as they did with the 1s in the spring with Manning recovering from foot surgery.

We all texted with Coach Shipley yesterday. He's beaming a little. He's ready for one of those grandkids to get old enough so he can start going to some tackle football games! 😉

Without a doubt, he is my football hero. So much of my enjoyment of the game stems from watching him in my youth.

First world problems: Our biggest issue is that we may have to play our 5-star LB recruit in a game.

Kudos to A&M for making this part of their preseason program. If it isn’t already, it should be required at every school.

Mental health is the most important health that leads to everything else. Like he mentioned that smile can only hold for so long before the damn breaks. Mine broke recently and thankfully i have my wife to help pull me up and just be there.

That 1744 yards could have easily been over 3000. He didn't play much in the 2nd half of a lot of those games because Texas was loaded and most games were out of reach by halftime. Who knows what he would have done against tired defenses in the 2nd half. HOOKEM
