This opens an interesting window to player acquisition in the coming weeks if other schools follow LSU’s lead here. Basically, any 2022 recruit who fails to make the final 53-man NFL roster in a few weeks can now be recruited by any college football program to immediately play (and no portal process is required, and grabbing former players from other SEC programs is fair game). This could turn into a feeding frenzy in a few weeks.

Just to paint an accurate picture the play before Burke got the sack, he stayed home on a running play and the RB cut it back right to him. Burke wiffed. Didnt get a hand on him.

Texas will stand pat and roll the dice with what they have at this point. Trent Hendrick would have been a great pickup to help with LB depth, but that ship has sailed. There are no other players that could be added that would make this team better and be better than the players that have been on campus all calendar year with the program.

Tough era for QBs at Texas. We didn't really have the coach needed to develop him at the time and once teams figured out how to defend him, he wasn't effective unfortunately. Excellent athlete, though. The record setting game was a highlight in an era with very few of them.

This seems like it would be absolute poison/cancer to bring in a player like this at the end of fall camp for a team like ours. Most of LSU are transfers so maybe they can justify it to themselves, but I have a feeling this will blow up in their faces for doing this….which could be the straw on the camels back for Easton Royal.

Getting owned on the OL vs ASU, OSU ,GA (2x) in 2024 was the warning and all of 2025 was the 5 alarm fire. Hopefully spreads to the offensive line as well .

I mean if they are going to ignore the interconference transfer rule why not ignore the roster limit rule too?

Whole sport needs to step up to stop it if anything is going to get done. Sorsby case showed that if everyone rallies against one team you can stop them from doing something detrimental to the sport, even if they are going all in on what they are doing now.
