  2. Wake me up when a university lab player of note doesn’t go to lsu. (Or commit to nick saban)
  3. Baton Rouge will burn if he comes to Texas
  4. Until he actually get’s serious and makes the visit that’s just to get attention and followers on social media.
  5. Would be an early Christmas present if Texas could somehow win this recruitment. Ojo, Turntine, and this guy? This is the type of recruiting in the trenches that can win you national titles. Still seven months to go, so who knows how this all plays out in the end.
  6. There is a tentative commitment date set for the first week of July for Brown currently.
  7. LaAllen Clark and Lamar Brown this afternoon.

  9. 2026 University Lab (La.) OT/DL Lamar Brown teased a trip to Austin Thursday evening on Twitter. Brown is considered a consensus five-star prospect and the No. 1 player in the state of Louisiana. I mention both lines of scrimmage above because early on in Brown's recruitment, there was a mix of both sides early on in his recruitment. I would expect him to be an offensive lineman on the interior at the next level. I spoke with Brown around this time last year where he said he would have plenty of interest in visiting the Longhorns, but did not have anything in place to make the trip a reality. Since then, Brown has not visited Texas. But, LaAllen Clark did stop by University Lab this afternoon, a part of his recruiting territory, and thus the tweet was sent by Brown. Brown's Official Visits: May 30 – Miami June 6 – Florida State June 13 – Texas A&M June 20 – LSU
  10. I never saw where it said that it could happen this year, was that in the athletic article?
  11. Today
  12. We’ve had Ross on the show before. He is reporting conferences are closer to going to 16 teams with 4 AQs for SEC and B10 with play-in games. https://x.com/rossdellenger/status/1920620823779348789?s=46&t=ISjkoHkBIkXYXFbgvlDUoA

  13. Quite a few players getting drafted from that class, had to start somewhere. A lot of coaching up and development.
  14. Sounds like SEC would be smart to leverage ESPN for more to get their pay in line with BIG and their deals especially since ESPN is their only partner.
  15. That's a tough call, but as much as Sark loves college football I can see him staying until he retires. Texas will keep his pocket book full.
  16. It got scary but our softball 🥎 team pulled it out . 👍
  17. Yesterday
  18. 7-6 Texas walk off hit cutch MIA SCOTT. Bottom of 7th
  19. Has Turntine looked into the possibility of a tapeworm?
  20. It’s prolly not realistic with the trajectory this programs on, the NFL will eventually come calling, But i hope sark can retire here.
  21. Did not know this could happen as early as this upcoming season if this deal gets done. I wanted 9 SEC games from the day Texas announced they were joining the SEC with Wagon, Aggy, and Piggy being the big three rivals. I know some don’t care for Piggy as much as others, especially the younger crowd, but I wouldn’t mind Texas playing them every year. Plus Texas will continue to have one marquee non-con regular season matchup too. Don’t think they’ll reconsider if the SEC goes to a 9 game conference schedule.
  22. Talks apparently in the early stages but the preliminary number tossed around is $5 million extra per team or $80 million total on top of the current $811 million media rights deal. I'm guessing it will go a little higher though. Personally I'd like to see it, especially with the expanded CFP format. This also paves the way to establish up to 3 annual 'rivalry' games and still play each of the other 12 teams every other year. What do you guys think? Pass up the game with Sam Houston or UTEP in favor of an additional SEC match? I first saw this in the Athletic but behind a paywall. If you have a sub here's the link. Here are free links to the same story in Longhorn Wire (USA Today site) and Sports Illustrated.
  23. I hope people remember Barryn way down the road. I will, I was a huge fan of that young man
