  1. Past hour
  2. Can you imagine if the stats factored in 1) talent level and 2) NIL$? I would imagine we'd be deade last.
  3. It’s not just motion though. It’s what all this complexity does to our quarterback who clearly has processing issues. Sark needs to recognize his QB isn’t able to play the system he wants and make it all much simpler
  4. By the way, it's unsustainable to run every single play out of 10 personnel, there has to be variations and different personnel packages. But that doesn't mean there can't be more of it. Especially considered 12 personnel produced 50 yards on 17 snaps for a 2.94 average. Only one of those 17 snaps in 12P gained 7 or more yards. It went for 15 to Emmett Mosley V on the pass he juggled on the sidelines.
  5. I thought we had some good runs out of 11 personnel with the TE flexed out. 10 personnel and simple spread concepts is the clear answer for arch and this offense. So much quicker and easier to diagnose pre snap. Find the leverage. Get the ball to the WR and let him make a play. Also 10 personnel will lighten up the boxes which can make arch’s legs even more lethal. Sark needs to abandon his philosophy of not wanting the QB to run as well and intentionally tell arch to run it whenever he wants to. You can see arch gets paralyzed in the pocket at times when he wants to run but intentionally tries not to in order to appease Sark. Hence the 3 beyond the line of scrimmage passes this season. The answer is pretty glaring at this point: 10 and 11 personnel and simple spread concepts. 10P also gets bishop on the field who might be our most dynamic player on the roster. Does sark have the humility to change the identity of his beloved pro style scheme? We’ll see.
  6. Would like to use Arch in that as a runner too. Definitely adds difficulty if they have to spy him which devotes one less defender. I’m very frustrated why we’re not attacking the middle if the field and linebackers more this year especially with these blitzes?!
  7. I truly don’t know what is worse, that every person can see that this team is not only built to work mostly out of 10p or that every time we do run it, it produces our biggest plays and our HC refuses to run it until we have to (hence the 4th quarter drive to bishop). Even as a fan at the game, every time they set up in spread, just as an eye test look so much better for a run play. I’m starting to let my mind run and think he’s trying to force a pro style offense to get NFL looks because no way someone can be this ignorant
  8. “Going off balance”….it’s the same thing I was saying about his body being fundamentally sound and him making a compact throw instead of flailing. Gerry, neither of us are QB gurus or have coached of QBs. I got this from Matt Sims who broke down the good throws by Arch and the 2 interceptions.
  9. It is infuriating when we have a coach making 10 million reasons a year to figure this out himself, But somehow can’t.
  10. That was my next thought too. Teams blitzing because we have no hot routes.
  11. Do you have the data for 21-24?
  12. In theory there should be lighter boxes given spacing in the formation. But that requires the OL to win a lot of 1v1 battles. We will see a lot of teams blitz in 10P imo, especially given the somewhat dismissal of hot/check routes when defenses show pressure in pre-snap.
  13. That pick 6 was doubly frustrating because Coleman was open but Arch sailed the throw 😕
  14. They have to find away to run the ball out of 10 personnel or every defense will know what’s coming.
  15. It’s like Sark has turned the entire Quinn pre snap offense into color by numbers for Arch, and he’s still missing open reads and giving the ball away.
  16. I don't have the data from the UTSA game yet, but the % of motion at the snap has been relatively the same from the first nine games of the 2025 season. (I don't have the full season charted.) Motion at the snap: 2025 – 58.99% 2026 – 56.50% Yards per play with/without motion: 2025 with motion – 6.04 yards 2025 without motion – 5.34 yards ... 2026 with motion – 4.85 yards 2026 without motion – 5.91 yards Again, it's an imperfect picture, but it's the best data I have on the subject.
  17. The key with 10 personnel is protection. Good protection in this unit typically results in a good play.
  18. The spacing from 10 personnel here creates an easy walk-in touchdown.
  19. This might be straight conjecture. But as stated the PPG has decreased every year, and it seems like the pre snap motion has decreased with it. No WR motion like used with Worthy. With the RPOs or the motion reverse motion. Not sure if it correlates with an increase in talent believing sark can just win Mano y Mano. Or him believing it doesn’t work in the SEC anymore (factually wrong). His 2022 tape vs Alabama was a masterclass in pre snap movement and shifting. The reason he got the job at Texas was what he did w Alabama in 2019/20 with Jeudy, Waddle, Devonta Smith etc
  20. Texas was in 10 personnel for 8 plays that accounted 83 yards on Saturday vs. Oklahoma. Good for 10.38 yards per play. The eight snaps: 10-yard pass to Emmett Mosley V 15-yard pass to Cam Coleman 34-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Wingo -- halftime -- Arch Manning pick-six 9-yard pass to Emmett Mosley V 0-yard run by Hollywood Smothers 15-yard touchdown pass to Jermaine Bishop Jr. pass thrown away The pick-six is the clear blemish. But completions on 6/7 other attempts for 83 yards is a good day given how much the Texas offense struggled throughout the game. *** Texas is averaging 9.93 yards per play in 10 personnel in the two SEC games where 10 personnel has been utilized. *** The personnel grouping is responsible for the following explosives in the two games: 34-yard pass 29-yard pass 18-yard pass 15-yard touchdown pass 15-yard pass 14-yard pass
  21. Texas would take him back in about two seconds if he's still the best QB on the roster. The real question isn't whether Texas wants Arch. It's whether Arch plays well enough in 2026 that coming back even makes sense. If he's good, he's probably gone. If he's not good, then we're having a very different conversation about whether he should still be the starter. Honestly, I'd prefer he leaves after 2026. Not because I want him gone, but because that's probably the healthiest outcome for the program. If Arch comes back for 2027, you're asking the next QB in line to wait another year, and in today's portal era that's a real risk. I'd rather have Arch play well enough to be a high draft pick and keep the succession plan moving than lose a talented backup who gets tired of waiting
  22. The real question here is… IF he wants to come back in 2027, does Texas take him back? Does the Manning family want him back at Texas as well? He’s clearly not going in the 1st round of next years draft.
  23. Today
  24. The problem is, people have been saying this for years. But any time you bring it up people don't want to hear it. Sark has done great things for Texas, no one can dispute that. What he hasn't done is field competent and top Offenses. Hell, he fired a guy who had several top defenses at Texas. Which helped carry them to two semi-final appearances and conference title games. Sark can't figure out that he is the problem. He also thinks he can do both because his mentor did it before or something. He also states that it was the reason he was brought to Texas and my dumbass thought he was brought here to be the HC...silly me.
  25. Tom Herman burner account? "Winning is hard " lol.
  26. Mizzou, LSU, and Aggy...all away games?
