Came here to post this but you beat me to it. I embedded the video for you in your OP though!

Thanks for posting. It makes you wonder, in hindsight, was this just nerves or is it why Sark wasn't comfortable putting Arch in last year despite Ewer's mobility? Is it why they took a veteran QB in the portal that seemed like a head-scratcher to some when it initially happened? Is it partially why the gameplan going into the OSU game was less complex than we expected? I'm not saying the answer to all of these questions is "yes", but it's just interesting how additional facts make things start to look different.

I believe it was his only snap as well. When given the opportunity, it's nice to see young players deliver. -

Good find, didn't realize he was in the game, much less the first drive. -
What you said on C&F. When the game slows down for Arch, he’s going to be fine. Exactly what I thought is that he was trying to play too fast and rushed his throws unnecessarily. Easy fix.

Week One: Charting Arch Manning's Passes (Ohio State)
Thorn007 replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
seemed nervous . first throw was bad. slooowly got better - Today

What he said about Arch not having touch and just rip is probably going to live in my subconscious all year now. I hope the next three games Arch is not allowed to throw a pass longer than 15 yards unless he completes 10 of 5 yards or less.

They basically ran what sark has always struggled against but disguised it better with their pre and post snap looks.

Also loved seeing this from the freshman tight end in his first career snap. Well done by Nick Townsend. -

That is what happens when a great player is not rewarded because you just expect that from him. The stats don't lie on this one. -

Taaffe played well. Just felt like there was more impact elsewhere. -
OSU had a good scheme for us and the lack of film did prove to be advantage for them. (We couldn't game plan for them the way they did for us). That's a difficult first game as a full time starter and he melted down. It is what it is, but IMO things look fixable. We'll see how good Arch's mental really is. If he can clean up his game there is a terrific team around him.

I am with you 💯! -
It was nerves at the beginning. Now he has a game under his belt in the most hostile environment imaginable. So he will take this experience and improve. Simple as that.

OTF Premium Thoughts on Arch Manning

I agree that the plan was manilla, and part of me feels like it was intentional to save the good stuff for the playoffs. After all, if TX takes care of business in the SEC this loss will not affect anything other than our egos. -

He also was late throwing when they were coming out of their breaks. One thing good about Quinn was he was throwing before they finished coming out of their breaks break.
