  2. By the way, that number increases if Arch gets involved in the run game.
  3. My initial thought is Glenn Schumann. Him and Boom would work well together and we’d get a Kirby acolyte. Just my top choice.
  4. Lol ok Brooks sorry I discouraged people from watching! AI (not ML btw) is helpful for people without free time 😉
  5. Appreciate the great insight. Blocking is another thing that seems to have taken a nose dive since Sullivan left. Texas used to be top 5 year in and year out in blocks. Texas' run in 2023 was with all float serves as well, the last top spin server was Logan if I recall correctly until this year. Also, do you know why Spears isn't playing? Is she injured? With the recruits that he's pulled in (top 5 classes) and the resources at his disposal at Texas (example top 5 NIL as well), there's no reason for Texas not to remain in the top 5.
  6. This is common sense, but who you have as your position coaches/coordinators matters. Tashard Choice developed elite RBs at Texas. He left and there was a drop off. Sark wanted a more aggressive in your face defense…he got it with Muschamp. If you want to run the football you need an O line coach that is known for physicality. If you want clean special teams play you need one who is disciplined. If you want a great QB you need a QB coach who has a history of development. And if you want a good offense you need an OC. You can’t keep pushing the same methods and expect different results. Sark needs to make staff changes and additional hires this offseason (OC). No more excuses. If he doesn’t want to he can leave.
  7. Let's let our Dodd Trophy coach candidate decide that https://texaslonghorns.com/news/2026/10/13/no-7-6-footballs-sarkisian-named-to-dodd-trophy-midseason-watch-list
  8. Can you get a physical run game in just 1-2 game weeks when you couldn't do it all off season? I guess we find out. I think it even goes beyond physicality. I think we have a coaching bandwidth issue both with special teams and with head coach. In our program, both are only part time positions. That isn't how most programs do it.
  9. We can run the ball. This team is a downhill running team. No pulling or pinning just flat backs and run straight ahead. The defense is good enough that being that stubborn about the run will open things up eventually. It’s kind of going around your a$$ to get to your elbow. But leaning on teams and forcing the run and long drives has been part of a lot of the successful drives we’ve had look at TN and tOSU heck even against OU. They were dropping into coverage and if we had really stuck with the run knowing their offense couldn’t do jack against us we would’ve broken their spirit and kept the ball out of harm’s way better especially once we got ahead multiple scores.
  10. I saw somewhere that there was a dual sport athlete for Women's bball and Softball considering Texas who's currently uncommitted but I can't find it again. Anyone happen to have knowledge?
  11. Texas right now averaging 142.20 yards per game on the ground.
  12. Today
  13. I like 11 personnel role Bishop and Mosley and run the ball a little more consistently with the physicality they ve shown when they had all the time the offense will be much better off, 10 personnel is fine in occasions but not 10+ plays a game
  14. Either that or you plug in J Christian at C, J Coleman (when healthy) at RG, and see if you can run the rock this year.
  15. Wow that's the first time I have seen the play since watching it live. I cannot believe we lined up like that. Venerables must have been laughing his rear off at his good fortune.
  16. We’ll deal with next year then. I fully agree that the problem needs to be addressed long term. Sark’s buyout drops to $27.5MM on 1/1/27, and will drop again in 2028. If he can’t fix it, give another coach a shot.
  17. And where aRe you next year? masking a few games in hopes of winning this year isn’t solving the problem But I do get where people are coming from. Im beyond masking problems
  18. Like Sark has said, if you want your fans cheering give them something to cheer about. Outside of defense there hasn’t been anything to cheer about.
