  1. Past hour
  2. Texas had a very high hit rate in the last portal but their ranking was low. Aggie sure has loaded up on offensive linemen already…
  3. 35-8 last three years, Outside of Georgia, anyone else in league better?
  4. This is true. How else do yall think Gerry was able to find out Joe Z. was an Oregon fan haha
  5. It will be very intersting to see what Miller can/is allowed to do with his own portal window.
  6. Anyone else wake up feeling the cheesiest?
  7. @Gerry Hamilton @Bobby Burton Any update on Zina? Staying or going?
  8. Barring late change … same group expected without any additions
  9. Sean Miller's frustrations were exactly what we needed moving forward. If you don't want to be coached hard, then move on and we'll find someone who will.
  10. 1. I’m going to keep saying Miller is a terrific coach. He’s gone to Sweet 16 or Elite 8 at every coaching stop. He’s an experienced winner. I like what I’m seeing in terms of where the program build will be in future years. 2. I remain the same on this first year. Fight, scratch and claw out enough W’s to have shot to sneak in NCAA Tournament. Texas’ back is going to be up against the wall because of the Miss State home loss all season IMO I’m always going to end discussions with this … first year coaches at their current school that didn’t make the NCAA Tournament year one in the portal era: Danny Hurley at UConn, Todd Golden at UF, Nate Oats at Bama, Rick Pitino at St John’s, Chris Beard at Ole Miss, Brad Underwood at Illinois, Mick Cronin at UCLA, etc… Miller needs to truly build the program for the future. And I believe he is and will.
  11. Agree, Dry January went out the door on January 2….. guess we have to try Dry February…. On a brighter note, Feb only has 28 days…. Lll
  12. @Longhornfrenzy thanks for doing the lords work. Drinking my coffee and catching up on all of this 🤘🏼
  13. @Jordan91 how you feeling buddy 👀
  14. Heckuva win by the team and staff. Let’s just hope we can keep the momentum alive going.
  15. These lists remind me that the ultimate goal is not to win the recruiting cycle or portal cycle, but to win the natty. We have done well on LB and RB and if we get another decent Olineman or two and retain our important pieces—we will have been every bit as successful as those other teams listed by ESPN. If we get Coleman, that will be a slam dunk and icing on the cake.
  16. Today
  17. Nothing about any of those lists should scare anyone. Lots of ok players. Not many difference makers.
  18. Sunday morning: Notes: Three portal transfers were on campus yesterday. Yale OL Mikey Bennett, NC State RB Hollywood Smothers, and Pitt LB Rasheem Biles. Biles committed to the Longhorns yesterday evening. The two-time All-ACC linebacker, who recorded 181 tackles and 10 sacks over the past two seasons, immediately fills a major void in the Texas roster. The Longhorns have now taken two LBs in the transfer portal. Bennett is said to still be considering both Oregon and Indiana. Smothers, who initially committed to Alabama following his entry to the portal, remains on his official visit to Texas as of this morning. ** Wide receiver Cam Coleman has completed his tour of four campuses, finishing up with Alabama yesterday afternoon. Coleman is considering Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Bama. Bama is considered the biggest competition ** More notes: - If Smothers pledges to Texas, running back Christian Clark likely looks elsewhere. Clark and Texas have not signed an agreement for his return. - Linebacker Cade Uluave was predicted to go to Michigan by a Michigan reporter last night. Uluave has visited the Wolverines over the weekend after seeing Texas Thursday and Friday. - Former Oklahoma State defensive end Wendell Gregory is thought to be nearing a final decision. Texas is among those choices. - Defensive back Kobe Black is now expected to return to Texas next season, according to his agent. - Jamie Ffrench visited Michigan over the weekend. - Linebacker Bo Barnes has committed to Kentucky. - DeAndre Moore has yet to find a home. He has visited Colorado, Louisville, Ohio State, and Ole Miss, and possibly others. Moore's asking price was not met by Texas, nor any of the other schools as yet. ** While Monday-Wednesday of next week is a dead period, where no portal players are allowed on campus, the coaches may still recruit and sign portal prospects, they just can't host them on visits. Several new entrants to the portal are also expected during that period and later into the week. Texas will be actively monitoring the portal, especially for major entrants. ** The portal officially closes at midnight on Friday. All paperwork must be signed and submitted by that time by players and then universities have two business days to put the names into the portal. Given that grace period, we could be looking at a week from Tuesday (Jan. 20) as the final day we will be hearing new names entered into the portal.

  21. - Linebacker Cade Uluave is predicted to go to Michigan by a Michigan reporter. Uluave has visited Michigan over the weekend after seeing Texas Thursday and Friday. - Defensive back is now expected to return to Texas next season, according to his agent. - Jamie Ffrench visited Michigan over the weekend.
