  1. Past hour
  2. We're 95 days away from Texas football, which means it's time to look at some of the best Longhorns to ever wear No. 95. 1. Marcus Tubbs (DT, 2000-03) Tubbs gets the nod at the top spot. The oversized defensive tackle was one of the most dominant interior defenders of the Mack Brown era, earning First-Team All-Big 12 honors, serving as a team captain and eventually becoming a first-round NFL Draft pick. During his Texas career, Tubbs recorded 207 tackles, 41 tackles for loss, 15 sacks and five forced fumbles while helping anchor some of the best defenses of the early 2000s. 2. Poona Ford (DL, 2014-17) Few players have been more respected by Longhorn fans over the past decade than Poona Ford. Despite often being overlooked because of his size, Ford became one of the nation's most disruptive defensive linemen and was named the 2017 Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year. He started 30 games during his career and developed a reputation as one of the toughest players to wear burnt orange. 3. Oscar Giles (DE, 1987-90) Before becoming a longtime Texas assistant coach, Giles made his mark as one of the program's top pass rushers. A three-year starter, Giles earned AP All-SWC honors and helped Texas capture the 1990 Southwest Conference championship. He finished his career with 22 sacks, a total that still ranks among the best in school history. Three different eras. Three outstanding defensive linemen. One great jersey number. 95 days until kickoff. Who's your favorite?
  3. The cover for the College Football 2027 video game has been released. It features Ole Miss RB Kewan Lacy, Miami WR Malachi Toney and Oregon QB Dante Moore. No Arch Manning, Colin Simmons or Texas references this year.
  4. But making bets is not the issue here is it? If it was just betting that was the problem then probably 1/3rd of CFB would be in trouble. It's that he bet on his own team while 18-19.
  5. Kentucky definitely desperate I've said before, top basketball guys *on average* are getting more than top football guys. Two elite players added to a hoops team are just so much more impactful than 2 FB players on a team with 11 starters on both sides of the ball.
  6. Make you wonder if the NCAA did that because the UT softball team is playing for a natty on Wed and Thurs, with an if-necessary game on Friday. Sat-Mon for baseball avoids the potential conflict.
  7. Morrison Birdies on his first hole. He is also 1Up. Texas is now up 2-0.
  8. Bennett birdies in 10. He is now 1Up early in his pairing. Texas leads 1-0 early on UCLA (Stanford is playing against Auburn, tiebreakers changed the seeding)
  9. Today
  10. The NCAA just released the dates and start times for the Super Regionals. The Austin Super Regional between No. 6 seed Texas and No. 11 seed Oregon will be a Saturday-Monday series. Game 1: Saturday, 7 p.m., ESPN Game 2: Sunday: 8 p.m., ESPN Game 3: Monday, TBD (if necessary)
  11. I said this before and I’ll say it again…
  12. I trust Gerry on this one. He’s talked it through on OTF many times.
  13. Thought the same thing. He was clearly running on fumes in the seventh. Not sure they had a better option though.
  14. Yes still set for June 19-21 to Texas.
  15. Match Play gets going this morning
  16. Not Texas related but $6 mil for one year of basketball is wild to me. Good for him.
  17. Pooooooooooooor aggy!!!
  18. Agree, it could get pretty spicy. I doubt Sark shows up since he has OV’s coming up this weekend. But it would be cool if he did.
  19. Any additional reserve big added to the roster will be international
  20. I could not believe Earley left Freshcorn in as long as he did. Freshcorn had been incredible all season but he was very clearly out of gas and you could just feel a big shot coming from USC. Very poor coaching in that situation.
  21. Changing the hideous uniforms might help.
  22. They wouldn’t have lost if they got the deserving higher seed & played cream puffs like Texas did. Everyone should know this
