Absolutely. The honor should be having your name and number up in the stadium. Not never seeing it on the field ever again.

New Year New Numbers
Quinncent McManning, Jr. replied to OTFBrandon's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Itโs not like we have that many. 10. 12. 22. 34. 60. One more? Now then Yankees have number problems. Once guys like judge start going to the hall theyโll start to have to go triple digits. -

Maybe it's time to consider 'unretiring' some numbers. Give the new players the opportunity to carry on the tradition and honor the legacy of those who wore them before.

Soโฆ do we get a visit? -
Neither have earned it. (Not a shot at either, they are great players) but think about Jahdae was gifted 7 his final year. I think it should go to McDonald if he wants it.
-
Was about to say the same thing. Cant be out here just giving out legends numbers without earning it.
-
Is it too much pressure to give that to phillips or littleton?
-
Yeah, that was my first thought too. But, he said on his 3rd and longhorn interview he wears 4 for his brother who wanted to play college football but wasnโt quite good enough.

There are rules. If you sign with an NBA team then your college career is over. Thats the rule. The problem is enforcement of the rules. -
