  1. Past hour
  2. At this point, it's a qb run. I don't trust the line to run block, and I don't trust Arch to see or hit the open receiver.
  3. That's a good place. My other favorite on 71 is Hruska's in Ellinger. Great kolaches and sandwiches.
  4. Idk necessarily... But maybe it's a figure of speech for the thing they know they can fall back on in a tough situation. Like running with Bijan or Rojo. Colt throwing to Quan & Shipley This 2026 Texas offense doesn't have anything they can rely on consistently. They're not really good at anything. They have sporadic flashes here and there in the run game or WR's.
  5. I completely agree. Sark needs to set up those explosives with those quick throws and runs. The wingo touchdown against Ole Miss there was an underneath route that drew the safety down and left Wingo open. But that was set up by those quick slants and throws that we saw early on in the game.
  6. Do we think Bedenbaugh has struggled this year because of Arbuckle?
  7. This right here. A stinger in this context is something that makes the offense dangerous which in Sark's mind, is pushing the ball down field with explosive plays. I get it, but at some point you have to take what the defense gives you. If a defense is going to play to keep everything in front, death by 1000 cuts.

  9. That’s almost as bad as saying you don’t know who LL Cool J is!😂
  10. I don't think its unreasonable or unfair to say that about almost any metric, outside of simething scheme specific - e.g. we aren't a service academy. I wished we could have heard Flood state his own success metrics preseason.
  11. The stinger is what Sark thinks we are good at.
  12. Are you sure he wasn’t talking about our IOL and said “stinker”.
  13. It’s stinger like a bee‘s stinger. As in, “how we can hurt you.” Sark doesn’t want Arch to lose his stinger—his warrior-like mentality. For the offense, that stinger is up for debate. We likely view that differently from Sark. For Sark, I think it’s hunting explosives. I’d love for it to be slants, quick throws, bubble screens, wheel routes, outside zone. Getting the ball out of Arch’s hand fast.
  14. What is the causal effect of a player having a stinger during a play in football? A Stinger is a quick intense pain. Now, tell me how “Bread and Butter” football is a Stinger? Come on guys, you’re killing me! A stinger would be what Sark is known for…the big play! Which, Sark said his Oline can’t block worth a flip so therefore they have no Stinger play ability!
  15. Today
  16. 1) A stinger is an attitude of aggression and purposeful infliction of harm 2) Texas doesn’t have one. EDIT- if I had to choose one, it’s Arch designed runs that open up medium-deep routes.
  17. Hopefully they lose the stinker lol
  18. The fact that our offensive guru HC/OC talks about the stinger and no one knows what the hell he’s talking about is very telling.
  19. Stinger = a threat that can effectively hurt the other team. A deterrent primarily, but also available to use as a kill shot when executed effectively.
  20. Stinger is balls or guts. He knows his offense is waning in confidence so he’s trying to conjure up “eff it, show them who you are”. From arch chip to stingers to we don’t listen to the outside(while addressing the outside) is a diminuendo rallying cry. He keeps trying to fire them up when he needs to fundamental them up. No amount of gippering will save this team. I can’t help but think his outside life is impacting him. He just hasn’t been the same since last summer. I hope is personal world is good first and foremost. He knows football extremely well and I’m at a loss as to why he hasn’t done what’s necessary. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤘🏽
  21. The fact that Skip Johnson won a natty at one of the few schools that prioritizes softball over baseball moves him into the top three for me. I give him the nod over Schloss for that accomplishment alone. Doing more with less.
  22. It's the off-schedule playmaking. He doesn't want the offense to lose the ability to challenge a defense vertically when things break down either through Arch's legs or the deep ball. I'm fine with that if we had coupled it to power spread scheme almost identical to what MSST was running before Kamario got hurt. Unfortunately, we don't do that and far too often have two guys in deep routes out of 12 personnel while the interior gets mauled or a free rusher blast through on max protect. Is what it is.
  23. 1. Probably the deep ball and running game for Sark. 2. 3 and outs
  24. Cool but you'll need to lock comments before the pronunciation debate gets out of hand!
  25. With the resources that Texas has, it should at the very least be in the top 25 if not the top 10 of oline's in college football. To not even be in the top 50 is beyond pathetic.
