  1. Past hour
  2. Those calves don't lie!
  3. It’s adorable watching the schools that can’t stay solvent try to write rules for the ones that actually matter. Only in college sports could the JV try to tell the varsity how the game works.
  4. Hannah Wells caught on a hot mike at the very beginning of the post game press conference, "Ohh... I hate this sh-t." I follow Longhorn softball pretty closely, and like Hannah Wells – and I like her tough minded approach. She has played well – although perhaps did not have as big an impact as she'd hoped, coming in as the Gatorade Player of the Year. She's also not getting the national attention at the end of the season she probably wanted (or expected). She's been left off some All-Freshman lists. So, some frustration is understandable. And of course I don't know the full context of her frustration... but I'm surprised at the attitude she displayed while sitting down in front of the press – and I imagine she'll get a earful from the communication folks in the athletic department.
  5. I don’t know about a complete waste of time. At least they’re trying to push something forward. IMO it’s better that these ideas get batted down and then reconfigured to what might actually work.
  6. Ricky looks like he can still run the ball for us LoL
  7. This "presidential commission" is a waste of time with bad ideas.
  8. Current Texas RB Raleek Brown and the Longhorn Legend Ricky Williams share a pic together. Not exactly sure where this is, but Brown was in New York the last week or so. Regardless, cool to see the current Longhorn RB posing together with one of the best to ever do it.
  9. PJ’s career earnings: https://fanspo.com/nba/players/p.j.-tucker/200782/earnings
  10. I think this sounds like a recipe for disaster.
  11. Yes, put in new turf in May of 2025.
  12. Have they fixed that god awful field there yet?
  13. Fun Facts about Texas v. Missouri: • Longhorns have won seven of the last eight in the series. • Missouri won the last meeting in Columbia 17–5 in 2011. • The last time Missouri beat Texas in Austin was in 1896.
  14. Hopefully, this doesn't result in a trip to Dallas to see Dr. Cooper.
  15. Seen them all at least once. Except the Kentucky game. I can't get myself to watch that game again.
  16. Make sure to claim November 7th now while you can! RSVP no to all weddings, tell the wife to pick another day to go apple picking, and let the kids know they are on their own for the afternoon. It's the best slate of college games of the season and you deserve to watch them all! *** TBD: Oregon at Ohio State TBD: Alabama at LSU TBD: Georgia at Ole Miss TBD: BYU at Utah TBD: Oklahoma at Florida TBD: Penn State at Washington TBD: Virginia Tech at SMU TBD: Texas at Missouri 6:30 p.m. – Miami at Notre Dame When the preseason rankings release, it's likely that weekend will include 8, and maybe even 9, ranked matchups alone. We will see if every time remains ranked that deep into the season, but some of these matchups figure to be electric regardless of ranking.
  17. Texas didn’t win on one play ...but the Maloney-to-Atwood out in the 5th inning absolutely saved the game. Georgia had Marisa Miller charging home, and Maloney fired a perfect throw that Atwood slapped the tag on. If Miller scores there, Georgia goes up by two and the whole momentum flips. Instead, that out kept it a one‑run game and gave Texas the chance to tie it in the 6th and walk it off in the 7th. Not the winning play - but definitely the play that kept winning on the table. To me, that was the most exciting and important play of the game.
  18. I've watched the OU game back a lot more than I expected.
  19. His speed. The staff is willing to live with the growing pains of having Monsour in the game as opposed to dealing with Duplantier's defensive lapses.
  20. All I see is a poor aggy with a significant case of genu varum with R>L.
  21. strict cap circumvention- is there a cap on how much a regular student can make while working? capping coach/AD salaries; eligibility/transfer standards- capping coaches and AD salaries. So any school can only offer Sark five million to hire him. Coaches and players go to court over the cap, how do you think that will end? We have already seen how numerous players going to court ended up.
  22. Today
  23. My niece graduated from A&M yesterday and the amount of kids walking across the stage throwing horns down was unbelievable. That we live rent free in their heads is a testament that they will never stop being little brother. They have a whole damn song with some ridiculous made up words about how they are tougher than us and mocking the Eyes of Texas. I was laughing the whole time. It is a real cult. They capped it by telling them to donate to future aggies. I wanted to yell “For Jimbo!!!!” But my wife would have killed me.
