    For the older folks: Roosevelt Leaks would have been a favorite for the Heisman in 1974 if not for the knee injury in the spring of 74. Edwin Simmons looked like a superstar until the knee injury at Arkansas 1983. And that year we were a muffed punt away from a national championship. I could go on but if if's and but's were candy and nuts...

    Normally you’d be correct, but as OTF has been reporting, Texas is BEHIND Ohio State in this recruitment. Prolonging the commitment date would be advantageous to Texas, not moving up the commitment date like Marcus did. This is all a moot point because Texas is recruiting through the whistle until December anyway.

    I think of seasons… 2008 if we have a playoff or the right thing was done. Texas should have played for a title. 2009 If Colt doesn’t get hurt 2023 If AD can somehow come up with the ball in the waning moments we again play for a title.

    Gerry’s best class scenario post has 5 guys currently uncommitted and I believe 3 outstanding “HI”s, so it is most likely 3 of those 5, my guess is LWC.
