  1. Past hour
  2. Also, go watch the push that Texas gets from G-C-G on Smothers' game-winner. Robertson, Sikorski and Baker reestablished the line of scrimmage and pushed their guys about a yard deep into the end zone. Texas hasn't gotten that from the interior in games like this.
  3. Poor Roberson got cooked a numerous plays in a row in the 3Q. He got faked out on a run, then had a couple of passes right at him. Masco came back in and it was a different story.
  4. Yeah sorrry I could have worded that better. He is fantastic and will have splash plays against everyone…. As with all linebackers at his size he will be tested in sec play though.
  5. Seymore didn't play at all, based on the PFF snap counts. It doesn't surprise me because I don't specifically remember seeing him. Sikorski had a helluva kickout block on Smothers' first touchdown run — a big part of why he practically walked into the end zone.
  6. No better, no best. Both were great wins. We played better against Alabama but showed greater resilience against Ohio State. This one could have gotten embarassing. What a poker match.
  7. I could think of another had the first half score held up last night!
  8. This was a very different game from the 2005 Oklahoma game, but it feels the same the day after. Texas had to have that one in '05. As big as the Ohio State game was that season, the Longhorns needed to slay the dragon in Dallas before they could think about USC. The '23 Alabama game was more like '08 OU, to me. You weren't expecting it to play out that way, but it was the jumping-off point of a great season. This was one where you weren't going to credit for another close loss. You had to break through and they did.
  9. That's awesome! For those who don't know, Joshua Perry, who is on the NBC college football desk with Chris Simms, is a Buckeye. He was on their 2014 national title team.
  10. The most maligned anglo saxon football player in the history of our program. Class act… Hook ‘em Horns!
  11. That was awesome. Great to see him having fun and enjoying the win like the rest of the Longhorn nation.
  12. I didn't mention this in my Snap Judgments, but y'all — the Texas fans — needed this one, too. I prepared myself for another valiant effort against Ohio State to come up short. I think what the core group of this team went thought last year in Starkville and against Texas A&M had them better prepared for the final moments than they were in 2024 or 2025.
  13. Chris Simms forever a LONGHORN 🙌🏻🤘🏻
  14. A lot of people are reading into it too much, IMO. If there were technical difficulties, as Laura Rutledge mentioned during the halftime interview when Sark had to head to the locker room, then Holly Rowe's frustration could've been at the whole situation, not at Sark for blowing her off. Some people want a reason to complain.
  15. Biles does way more than dominate lesser opponents … he had 8 tackles last night. He will have some big games vs anyone
  16. The first half looked like Chubbs' hand after the garbage truck ran it over. Thankfully, the second half was more like this:
  17. Just some running thoughts.. feel free to add: Culture is awesome on this team. Arch still has much to learn about reading defenses, but he has the clutch gene / winners mentality. The OL looks good.. they can run block and pass block, plus we have depth. Kudos to Flood for turning this around finally. Smothers as a massive portal pickup after Brown. Brown can be good in his own right, but it's not 1A / 1B As much fanfare that Masunas got pre-season, the other guys have really played well.. Shannon is a giant target and blocks well, Winston is a threat in the passing game, Townsend can be good passing and catching (hope he is okay) The WRs are who we thought they are. Coleman can be spectacular but will never be Jeremiah Smith. Wingo needs to get over the dropsies. Mosely is a great 3rd down option but also needs to eliminate the drops. Get some more plays for Bishop! Mascoe can be a great man corner. Philips still needs seasoning. Littleton is arguably the best overall DB. Safety play needs to get better. We need Jonah to get some more PT to accelerate his growth rate. LBs are up and down. Biles will dominate lesser opponents, but we'll see how he does tackling in the SEC. Cryer isn't athletic but he had a really nice overall game yesterday. DL is hard to judge in these 2 weeks... 1st game with the vanilla game plan, this week against a good OL, though CS was held a whole bunch by tOSU. Geffrard right up there with Biles and Mascoe as the best defensive pickups in the portal. Spetic has been fantastic at kicker and with kickoffs. Nibblett will still give us the highest highs and cause us to scream at the screen on other plays.
  18. I wasn't too excited to notice that. I missed it and I'm happy it's back.
  19. Trust me if the message boards are anything like the comments choklahoma is WAAAAAY better😂
  20. You know it took awhile but when we started getting those TE’s involved, good things started happening. That was even with Townsend out. We have to keep getting them involved. It’s deflating to a defense when they have good coverage and you dump to a TE and they ramble downfield. DB’s don’t like having to tackle one of those big jokers in the open field.
  21. The conference loyalty is crazy. I don't care one bit about the SEC, We Are Texas.
