  1. Past hour
  2. Again, nobody’s defending Herman, he had plenty of flaws. Saying Herman “never sniffed the playoffs” without context is not just incomplete, it’s ignorance. The playoff system during Herman’s era only included four teams, and the roster rules were strict, no NIL, no transfer portal, no plug and play experienced replacements. Sark, on the other hand, has had every modern advantage Herman didn’t….NIL, the transfer portal, and the ability to overhaul a roster instantly. Even using Herman era metrics, Sark would have made the playoff only once in five seasons, and remove the portal advantage and the odds drop substantially. Put simply: having all the modern advantages doesn’t excuse the flaws we still see on the field, especially offensively in year 5 against bottom tier teams like Florida and Kentucky.
  3. Backup QB on a terrible team is nothing to be proud about
  4. You honestly believe Oh St, Georgia, Bama, Mich, Oregon, Penn St, aggy, et al, aren’t playing in the same space? Penn St just paid a guy $50 million not to coach, aggy has about that much left to pat. They got the money.
  5. Not sure how they haven’t turned to Quinn yet honestly.
  6. When a high profile P4 team pulls the trigger early others will be playing catch up.
  7. You honestly believe we spend the same amount on NIL as everyone else??? Don’t think all of the offensive players are coming just to play on Sark’s very imaginative offense!
  8. 1-4 vs OU as well.
  9. So Herman only had what every other program had. Just like Sark today. Gotcha.
  10. Herman couldn’t beat TCU, Oklahoma State or Iowa State. What type of playing field were we on compared to them?
  11. Come on man. Georgia signed 18 five stars between the three 2018-2020 classes. You don’t think they had a major payroll for that team? He learned the whole scheme from Saban. Urban Mafia at Ohio State, LSU church slush funds, we have never been on an even playing field with the most rogue programs except for maybe 2002-2004 when Mack and the program got especially desperate while getting pants’d in Dallas annually. And look what happened the next few years.
  12. I think Arch is shook by the jailbreak he experiences damn near every time he drops back. IMO, Sark has failed him by putting a ragtag bunch of OLinemen in front of him. Quinn would have been sacked 30 times already by this oline.
  13. Nice write up as always. Thanks! Ryan Niblett is now the 2nd leading punt returner in college football with 21.6 yards/return. One tiny nit to pick - you wrote "5 Arch was sacked 5 times" in "Stats that Matter" summary but "officially, he was sacked 3 times" in the main body of the text. . The ESPN box score credits Kentucky with 3 sacks and the Texas D with 5 sacks, so guessing you mentally flipped those numbers, no biggie.
  14. Huh? No other team had access to NIL or the transfer portal during his time either. He had the same built in recruiting advantages every Texas coach has had the last 30 years. What type of context do you need to know that Tom Herman never lost fewer than 3 games in a season, was hated by his player, went 1-4 vs Oklahoma, embarrassed the university publicly multiple times and left us with 7 scholarship offensive lineman. He never sniffed the playoff. There is no further context needed. He was a boneheaded coach who produced inconsistent results and is currently unemployed after being fired in less than 2 years from his job after Texas.
  15. Any players on FSU's roster that Texas would want? I know Texas recruited Kevin Wynn in the past.
  16. Congrats quinn
  17. Where was James Simon?
  18. Oh I’m not aiming my upset at the kids/young men.
  19. I am with you brother. As I said in another post - college football is now a big $$ industry, and changes happen a lot faster. Sux for the kids.
  20. For sure staff changes, either addition (like defense) or replacement. College football is a big $$ industry now, and changes happen a lot quicker than when I had hair.
  21. I think it’s horribly ill-advised. The program is going to implode in the transfer portal and there just isn’t a tried and true candidate out there to step in and immediately take over the reigns. There is no Kalen Debouer in this coaching cycle. And the coaches you would want aren’t leaving where they are at. Florida’s team is going to be gutted in the transfer portal. They should have stuck with the devil they know. I hate this for the kids that want to play on a team.
  22. Ugly and disappointing win, however we are still in the race to get into CFP. Sark took a huge GAMBLE by going with young OL. He is betting on their quick development. The scheme is totally off to the current offense maturity. If his gamble fails we will be out of the CFP. Good Luck
  23. Today
  24. Herman was hated by players end of discussion!
  25. Not worthy of the extension IOM, hasn’t leaded a team to a deep run into the playoffs
