  1. Past hour
  2. Don't coddle anyone. Instead of listening to songs he liked for motivation, Kobe famously forced himself to listen to songs he hated. After losing the 2008 NBA Finals to the Boston Celtics, he listened to Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" and the Dropkick Murphys' "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" every single day for two years. He did this specifically to trigger the painful memory of losing and fuel his drive to win the 2010 championship.
  3. This technically isn't a Yacht Rock track, but it's Steely Dan, so it kinda counts. Regardless, Craig Way used this song to intro his old radio show with Bill Schoening. When I co-hosted with Craig on The Horn, I convinced him to bring it back to intro the second hour of our show.
  4. One has to hold the CFP Committee responsible. The NCAA, the SEC, ESPN nor Texas is not. If no one comes them to perform their charged duty with competence, then it is time to move on. Submitting to institutionalized incompetence is not a solution. 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿
  5. What is schedule integrity? How many seats will be filled for a Prairie View football game?
  6. Seems like the only nuts they find are not buried. Womens tennis coach was an assistant to our coach, and an aggie letterman. Repeat playback for retaining Earley from Schloss' staff. Elko is a Jimbo staff refurbishment. Otherwise their splash hires are also obvious but with a low hit rate.

  8. I agree with you. I would add that the playoff committee has taken strength of schedule into account in some fashion, even though we can’t decipher what the criteria is. Take Baylor’s 2014 team. They opened with a 45-0 win over SMU, followed by a 70-6 win over NWST in week 2. I week 3 they won 63-21 over Buffalo. They later beat UT 28-7 and beat TCU, the league’s co-champion 61-58. Overall they finished 11-1. But the committee, citing SOS, deemed that Baylor should not be included in the top four even though the top four included three one loss teams (Alabama, Oregon, and Ohio State) and an undefeated FSU team. So the committee somehow did factor in SOS. I think the real issue is clarity of the SOS, and how it is weighted in the overall analysis. I would really hate to see losing the thrill of in-season marquee intersectional match-ups because the SOS is inconsistent and opaque.
  9. Today
  10. My favorite countdown, thanks Blake! Most excited for the schedule, lot of cool road trips and big brands. Player wise, I would love to see what a fully healthy Colton Vasek can do and for an already proven player, Lance Jackson in year 2. Let's Go!
  11. I’m 22 years old and can’t remember any team since I’ve been old enough to know what’s happening that has this much talent and star power and all of it is in key positions. QB, WR, Edge, LT and more. Just can’t wait to see it on the field and hopefully they can mesh it all together and play as a group
  12. I’m excited to see a healthy justice terry. Really excited to see biles in coach boom system
  13. Arkansas SG Maleek Thomas staying in the draft. Impactful for the SEC race in 2026-27 IMO
  14. I'm excited to see how Sark balances all the skill talent the team has on offense. Arch shouldn't have to play hero ball with as much help as he has. Probably most excited for this group of WRs.
  15. I know Todd. I have no doubt he wants what's best for the boy. What's best for the boy is to secure his financial future.
  16. everyone is up in arms about the kid not doing any OVs. What does he learn at an OV that he hasn't learned at all the other visits he has had and all the meetings he has already had with coaches and players? He is choosing to finish school a year and a half early to get started sooner on college. Good for him to know his goals and get them done regardless of outside noise. not sure the comparison to Ojo...i haven't seen any videos of him being manhandled by other recruits in camps.
  17. The same family in gilmer that adopted camara also was involved with helping (not sure if they adopted) another former longhorn.
  18. Gerry has reported numerous times that it's a complete NIL recruitment.
  19. Feel like there is a narrative that has started on this board that Camara is strictly looking for a payout and he’s another Ojo. I’ve seen interviews with Camara and read articles that give me a totally different vibe. In interviews I’ve seen with him he comes across as very mature and serious kid that has to deal with some very challenging life events (lost both parents). He just moved to the US as an exchange student a couple of years ago after losing both his parents in France. I believe he came over his soph year so he’s trying to make up 4 yrs of hs in 2 1/2 years. He’s trying to graduate by December. That requires him to take 6 summer school courses. The thought is he will not be able to balance recruiting visits in June with the required course load over the summer.
  20. “If” is loser’s excuse. UCLA was the best team in the Final 4. Deal with it.
  21. Read the article you linked. Then follow the link for the NGO that’s raising money with Canada, and who leads that NGO. Then, connect the dots of his circumstances and the “shocking coincidence” of events for where he is now (from France to a guardianship in Gilmer, TX with no family relations involved…what are the chances 😉😂). I am sure this is a good kid from a very difficult background, and I wish him nothing but the best in his life and career. But, I’ll remain highly skeptical of how he’s being marketed by others and I would question if football is priority #1 here for anyone involved. Is the financial risk really worth the on-field reward here?
  22. And if our All American had a mediocre game we would have beat them by double digits.
